Feel free to read books in the library but please do not damage them or take them. One of the owners is a writer and is very particular about her books!
Please take your shoes off inside the house and be respectful of the downstairs neighbors.

I am a physician and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and my wife is a writer. My area of interest in medicine is the relationship between health care and culture - how people of different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds think about health and illness and what influences that. I teach medical students and practicing health care professionals about how to communicate better across cultures taking into account people's unique perspectives. Monica is originally from Puerto Rico, has a Masters in physics and in science writing and writes about medical and non-medical topics. Our son, Aiden, who we are raising bilingual in English and Spanish, is 3-years old, a lot of fun, and gets along well with other kids. We like to get to know our guests but are happy to let them just relax and enjoy their privacy. We've had people stay from all over the world and have made some great friends in the process.
