This little cabin is so cozy, it's like your home away from home. You will find most everything you will need while staying here. It's tucked away in the trees with the Volcano National Park right in the back yard! You'll wish you could stay longer!
If an alternative experience of Hawaii is what you're seeking then this is the place for you. Come experience this cute comfortable cabin nestled in the woods, surrounded by tall Ohia trees and lots of tropical birds to serenade you. Situated on the edge of the Volcano National Park, at 2000' elevation (which means it might get a bit chilly at times), on a very private, peaceful, gated 20 acre piece of land on the Southern most part of the Big Island. Located half way between Kona and Hilo with grocery stores and restaurants nearby, 30 miles from the Hawaii Volcano National Park where you can view the lava going into the ocean, 15 miles from the famous Green Sands Beach and Punalu'u the black sand beach where you'll find Hawaiian Hawksbill turtles sunning on the sand.
The cabin has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a futon couch/bed in the living room, one full bathroom with plenty of on demand hot water, a complete kitchen and is completely self sufficient and off the grid - solar power, water catchment, propane appliances. Linens, dishes, pots and pans, a blender, and a coffee press are available for your convenience. Since the power is from the sun, no hair dryer, curling iron, or things of that nature can be used. There's a DVD player with a variety of movies for your entertainment. Most cell phones work here and will pick up the internet.
Smoking permitted outside only. Please no outside guests or visitors or pets.

I live on the property so I'm available should you need anything. The houses are far enough away from each other so that there's complete privacy.
Please be mindful of the time difference between Hawaii and where you are when inquiring about the cabin. Hawaii is always earlier.
The futon couch folds out into a bed should you need it. Being at 2000' elevation, it does get a bit chilly here at times and it rains quite often.

I've lived in Hawaii since 1976 and have loved every minute of it. I'm semi-retired. Plants are my passion and this place shows it. I would love to share this magical piece of paradise with you.
