A 300 year old Grade 2 listed Lakeland barn. Quiet location, private off street parking at the door, mountain views, central heating.
Large bedroom with kingsize bed, Egyptian bed linen, sofa, tv and it is now en-suite with a rain shower head!
This is a quirky, c.300 year old building and is part of a group of buildings on the Ambleside Heritage Trail that are the oldest in the town. This was the first site to be settled in what is now Ambleside, over 1,000 years ago. It is constructed of Lakeland stone and is Grade 2 Listed. The bed and breakfast accommodation is situated up a spiral stone staircase on the first floor of the barn. The walls are 2 feet thick and the interior structure contains ships timbers salvaged from the Cumbrian coast. The newly enlarged en-suite bedroom has excellent views of Wansfell Pike.
