Description

Private rooms/bath with views of the CO National Monument. King bed. The entire second floor space is dedicated to guests and their privacy; first floor including kitchen shared with hosts. Secure parking and storage for your recreational gear.

The 2 bedrooms and bath on the second floor are private (internal entrance from first floor ) and dedicated to guest use. One bedroom has newer queen bed, the other a twin, with fold out futon. Our Master bedroom, kitchen, dining, lounge, mud room, another 1/2 bath are all on first floor.

Kitchen, washer and dryer, dining and lounge areas, porch. Garage space can be created if needed and by negotiation.

We are both avid travelers and have lived in Asia, Australasia, Europe as well as Colorado. We enjoy the great outdoors and meeting new people. Although the guest space is relatively private, we enjoy interacting and socializing with our guests--a lot, or a little…its up to you, and dependent upon our own 'life schedules'. We will be home during guest stays and we have three friendly pets, two dogs and one cat.

We are safe, quiet, private rural setting, but only 5 minutes from the grocery market, ~3 miles off of I-70, and only 5-6 miles from both downtown Fruita and Grand Junction. Parking is easy, safe and private--our property is 8 acres! We have 2 friendly indoor/outdoor dogs, both rescue border collies. We occasionally board weed-eating goats, and offer pasture grazing for friend's horses. We are close to hiking, rafting, mountain biking, off road motorcycling, Moab, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, and the best Colorado Wineries…and we can help you find what you are looking for.

We have used AirBnB as guests for business and leisure travel. We have 100% excellent reviews as guests. Please check them out, or we'll be happy to share if you cannot access them. We are brand new hosts on AirBnb, and have only had couple of guests--see reviews.

Colorado and New Zealand! Two of the most beautiful places to recreate out of doors. I am a US Citizen with NZ permanent residency and Krista is a native Kiwi with US Residence. We spend time in both beautiful places. We enjoy traveling and spending time outside. I like to fish and ride motorcycles, Krista is all about equestrian and competes in Dressage. We both love to hike and camp. We have two dogs, a cat, two horses and six free range chickens. I am a board certified vet specialist in Neurology, and rather than tie myself to a single practice, work relief and short term locums in various parts of the country, and in New Zealand. This gives us the freedom to travel. Love meeting new people and so prefer accommodation like AirBnB to hotels.
