ATTENTION: You are going to be on yourself during your stay in my appartment. I might be in Cologne to hang out though.
My appartement is in the center of Cologne (10 to 15 minutes walking distance to the central station). It´s a one room appartment which is divided into a "living room" and a "bed room." (Bathroom and kitchen also included :) ) There is also a balcony where you have sun all over the day. Because of a lot of windows it´s a very light appartment.
As you can see it is not that big but an excellent place to start off a trip through the city. The main shopping streets are 5 to 8 minutes walking distance. You can reach whatever you are interested in by subway (distance 3 minutes; Station: Friesenplatz) or by foot in a maximum of 25 minutes.
The street where I live can be crowded on the weekends but my appartment isn´t to the street so you won´t be bothered by loud people or music. You can even sit on the balcony at night and it´s quiet.
If you go outside there are a lot of restaurants with all kinds of specialties ( e.g.: Spanish Restaurant, Pizzeria, Guiness Brewery with Burgers, Chinese, Brazilian and lots more).
The next shop for groceries is 5-8 minutes down the street, where you get everything you ll need.
Acess to wireless internet is included.
I always have a basic supply on shower needs (for body and hair). Of course fresh sheets and towels are included.
Recently I got a reference referring to the "apartment- main station"-distance. It was said that it took people around 30 minutes to walk. I checked that on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and unfortunately the "maps"-program sometimes does recommend a walking route which is far too long. I post a picture in my album where the fastest way is shown. Therefore there should less misunderstandings considering how to get here.
One more thing before you are ready to book:)
The booking of the apartment does not include any extra provision such as breakfast or toothbrushes. Of course you are welcome to use anything which is already there (kitchen supplies, shower stuff, read all the books, listen to CD´s and watch TV) and also herbs from the balcony but there will be no extra supplies than what is already mentioned above.
I like you to have a pleasant stay at my apartment and I really hope you enjoy your stay here!!!
