Tamarack is a great place to stay - conveniently located a short drive to the ski slopes. The private chalet was great - kitchen stocked with pots, utensils, and things we'd need to make our own meals. The space was cozy, bathroom really nice with ample towels. Wifi isn't great in that area in general - you need to walk over to the main lodge to use it - but the main lodge is great, too.

This place is only a few miles away from the Bear Valley Ski Resort. There is no restaurant on site. There are basic food items in the family style kitchen. It is better to bring some food just in case you arrive late or weather condition such as snow storm makes it difficult to drive to a restaurant. Heating works very well, which is nice during cold winter days.

Vicky was very nice. We loved the place. We were a group of 6 and there was enough space and beds for us. The breakfast was amazing, in fact they made fresh oatmeal for us as they ran out of the instant oatmeal. That was special. Wi-fi was the only issue. We couldn't get wi-fi in our Barn.

We enjoyed our stay in room 11. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very simple. Our young children had lots of fun playing snow behind the lodge. We will come back for sure.

Vicky was great and we loved having our own space so close to skiing. The kids loved sledding in the back and Vicky even saved an extra piece of bread pudding for my son when he got back the next day. Super nice and very happy with the place.

We had a great time staying at the Tamarack. Breakfasts were wonderful and the area for my two small children to play was great. We really liked that we had out own kitchen to cook in. The only thing that was difficult was allowing our children to nap as the two dogs downstairs barked for nearly an hour in the afternoon. The loft upstairs is a great place to sleep, however the foam mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Great space and very clean.

Vickie did a marvelous job of making us feel welcome. Her home is beautiful and comfortable and her hospitality (including those delicious home-baked muffins at breakfast!) is top notch. We felt like family while staying at Tamarack Lodge and will definitely consider staying there again!
