Guests have access to a their private nook which includes a sink, personal refrigerator, toaster oven and microwave. These are necessary for those delicious left overs from your restaurant discoveries. Coffee and tea are provided. Guests may relax in the shared family, living and dining rooms, limited access to the kitchen-let me know if you need access to the stove. I have a small kitchen. On nice weather, guests may relax in the my landscaped back yard-secluded and quite. Guests may use the laundry facilities too.

This depends on the guests preference and my schedule. I am here if you have questions or have time for some conversation.

I love Portland so ask me questions!

South Tabor is a quiet neighborhood with mostly families living here. Tabor, our 100-year old park is iconic of this area with miles of forested trails, and views to downtown Portland.

My home is just minutes away from Division Street which was once an up-and-coming restaurant district and is now center stage in Portland's foodie culture. There are several lovely restaurants in walking distance.
Please note: neighborhood street parking is free, but I cannot guarantee parking in front of my home.

Our Tri-Met bus service is a block away that can transport you to the Division restaurants, downtown or where ever you want to go in the city. Very efficient traveling option.

If you fly in without a car, you can take the Max line to a main transfer station and then take the bus. Taxi, Lyft and Huber are available.

I am enthusiastic about the fine dining, hiking and the dancing scene in Portland; I'm quite knowledgeable on Portland culture. Love to be a resource to enhance your Portland visit. (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

I love travel, good food, wine, dancing and living in the moment. Travel allows me to gain sense of place for the people who live there, both today and in the past. Hiking in natural environment of the host country’s special places are usually the first draw to the places I visit. Exploring food and drink of my host country is high on my activity list. Discovering the Latin dance venues of my host country is recent interest of mine.

I am host because I enjoy hearing the stories of other travelers. I worked as a naturalist and tour guide in Alaska for several years. I met people from around the world and I miss those conversations. I want to hear your travel stories.

Airbnb offers more authentic travel experiences, and I want to help my guests find the special places, food or events that make travels to Portland a memorable highlight of their trip.

In the past, I traveled staying at boutique hotels, but Airbnb will be part of my next trip. My hope is that becoming a host will allow me to be world traveler and citizen in my next trip.
