Beautiful, modern basement apartment in the heart of Inverness. Offering well-apportioned accommodation for two guests, our bright apartment lies within a 5 minute walk of Inverness city centre. Enjoy access to the garden and decking with spectacular views of Inverness Castle!
This apartment is part of our home, but has its own entrance and allows you to enjoy your own space. With the freedom to come and go as you please, you can relax knowing your hosts are on hand if you need anything!
The apartment is ideal for a couple or a single traveller. We are only insured for two guests at any given time therefore we must insist that this caveat is adhered to!
Our one bedroom apartment includes a bedroom with king size bed, bathroom with shower, fully kitted out kitchen with fridge freezer and digital TV. Free WiFi for those with their own devices is also included, and you will also have access to the garden, which has stunning views to the castle and Inverness. While there is no window in the bedroom, many of our guests have commented that this has actually helped them have a sound night's sleep!
We will be around if you need us, however we aren't going to step on your toes. We provide a self catering service, but are delighted to help out with any questions you may have and additional services can be quoted upon request.
The apartment is on the bottom floor of a Victorian-era house - it was built in 1895! The entrance door height is 180cm (5' 11"), so do mind your head when entering the apartment if you're tall; the internal doors are of a modern fitting, and the internal ceiling height is 215cm.
We are right in the centre of Inverness city, yet the street is very quiet. The apartment is located in the pretty Crown district where there are lovely independent cafes and bars, and just 2 minutes down the street you'll find Inverness High Street, the Eastgate Shopping Centre and all the main shops and bars/restaurants. The High Street leads down to the River Ness and the excellent Eden Court Theatre, which has a wonderful cinema and regularly plays host to theatre, ballet, opera etc.
Take a walk along the river to Ness Islands or out to the Caledonian Canal, part of the Great Glen Way. Whether you're a 'towny' or an 'outdoorsy' type, pretty Inverness offers the best of both worlds without having to go very far - which is why we love living here!
Driving the North Coast 500 Route (NC500)? We are in an ideal location for either starting or ending the route! We are also a convenient base for those visiting or working temporarily at Raigmore Hospital, the Sheriff Court or Inverness College (UHI).
We are an extremely convenient 5 minute walk from Inverness train and bus stations. If you are flying to Inverness airport, you can take the airport bus to the bus station, or a taxi will cost around £20 and will take 20 - 30 minutes. If you're bringing your car, you can park on the street for free using our visitor permit - there is plenty parking outside the property.

We joined Airbnb in November 2014 and are very much enjoying the hosting experience! I have lived in Inverness since 2007 with my husband, Keith, and we just love it here. I work in the whisky industry, and Keith works for the local council on a climate change initiative. We love travelling, partly due to the interesting characters you meet along the way, and we enjoy bringing some of that to our home life. Slainte!
