NEWER LISTING: Welcome to 3ONE8; a newly remodeled, private home retreat in Manzanita, Oregon. 3ONE8 is the perfect escape for couples and small families who enjoy high end furnishings in a casual and modern setting. 1.5 blocks to main st, 3.5 blocks to beach w/ private back yard, fire pit and view of 6th green on golf course. Interior amenities include hand scraped acacia hardwood flooring, new kitchen appliances, Ceasarstone counters, Ann Sacks tiled bathroom with walk in Hansgrohe shower and heated marble flooring, dimmable LED lighting throughout, Spectrum cable & Wi-Fi, all new contemporary furniture and other high end finishes. It's hard to find a vacation rental in Manzanita, or on the coast for that matter, that isn't dark, dated or decorated by your grandma.

The interior layout, designed by TVA Architects of Portland, is open while still intimate. Two bedrooms feature brand new queen size beds. Master has LCD flat screen with built in DVD player and Spectrum cable. 2nd bedroom also boasts new queen size bed and both bedrooms feature new carpeting. Main living area is dynamite and has terrific flow - it's one big great room with great light and views to the golf course in the back yard. Another LCD TV/DVD is in living area with Spectrum cable and DVR. You also have your own private backyard complete with modern patio furniture, fire pit and golf course views.

Our favorite part of staying at 3ONE8? Sipping fresh coffee on the back patio in the morning (or cold IPA at cocktail hour) and watching the birds and squirrels play in the pine trees and watching the golfer's terrible tee shots into the 6th green - all while hearing the ocean in the background. SISTER PROPERTY: 3THREE8 Manzanita is the adjoining property for stays of at least one month (30 days) - a great option if you’re considering an extended stay at the coast as you pay no service fees or lodging taxes. It’s the exact same layout as 3ONE8; 2BR/1BA w/ private back yard and patio.

You have access to the entire house. Private entrance with lock box. Side yard with gate access to back yard. Back yard has patio table, 4 chairs, charcoal grill, marshmallow roasting sticks, river rock lined fire pit and some logs to sit on. And there's a hose out back to hose off sandy dog paws if needed ... or sandy kid feet! Please wipe down your dogs (and kids) before entering the house if you've been at the beach or out in the rain. Good idea to empty kid's pockets too if you've been at the beach - thanks!

The vision of the 3ONE8 remodel was to create a hip and fresh place for our family, friends and rental guests to enjoy in our favorite coastal town, Manzanita. We've stayed at probably 20 different short term Manzanita rentals in 'the pool' over the years. It's a crap shoot out there. And it's hard to find either brand new structures or remodels. And how did the remodels turn out and what kind of furnishings are you experiencing? I love my grandmas but I wouldn't put them in charge of decorating my vacation home - and that's what I see in a lot of the rental choices out there today. #4 ranked Airbnb Manzanita rental based on Airdna's independent rating system.

CLEANING FEE: $85

WE ALLOW GOOD DOGS: $15 per dog per night, two dog max, plus a one time $15 pet cleaning fee. For stays of 3 or more nights fees are negotiable. All dog fees must be paid with a separate check mailed to owner or through Venmo app. We do not want dogs on furniture. We have two dogs towels provided by the front door ... or bring your own dog towels - and we ask that you wipe down your dogs after returning from the beach or coming in from the rain. It's easier to do this by taking the dog out back, through the side yard entrance, and you can keep a towel back there hanging on a hook/nail by the slider glass door. And then let the pooch in the house. Please, no dogs on the furniture.

5TH PERSON FEE: $15 additional per night.

CHARCOAL BBQ provided - bring your own charcoal.

FIRE PIT: Bring your own wood or buy at either of the two grocery stores in town. If bringing your own .... Grocery Outlet has the best deals on bundles - about $4. Marshmallow/hot dog roasting sticks by bbq.

BEACH WAGON: provided on side yard to take your stuff down to the beach for the day - some left over kid toys provided like pale, shovel, etc.

RECYCLING: Manzanita does not have curbside recycling - it's a pain in the rear. Options; either leave recycling (please rinse, clean & drain first) in the hall closet tubs and we'll take care of it ... or if you're willing and have room in your car, it would BE AWESOME if you can haul it back to your bins back home - if applicable! Most cleaning companies in the area just toss it in the trash - which we aren't fans of but ... it's one of those things. Thanks in advance if you're able to do that!

OUTSIDE/BEACH TOWELS: There are five beach towels and one outside blanket in the hall closet. Please don't use gray bath towels or inside blankets for beach or outdoor use. There are two dedicated dog towels in the wicker basket by the front door.

LOCATION - ARRIVING IN THE DARK: Map 318 S. 4th Place before you head out to the coast. We're on S. 4th Place ... not S. 4th STREET! And most street lights are dark once you get off of the main roads. Once you're heading down Laneda Avenue you'll see Pete Anderson Realty on the left corner ... that's S. 4th Place .... hang a left and we're 1.5 blocks down on the left.

3ONE8 is great as it's 1.5 blocks to Laneda Avenue (the main strip) with plenty of shops, coffee houses, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and more and about a 3.5 block stroll to the beach. Additionally, the views out the back onto the 6th green at Manzanita Golf Links are beautiful, verdant and very private. There are no neighbors behind you and the private back yard is a great retreat - whether sipping coffee in the morning watching the wildlife or in the evening by the fire pit roasting s'mores with a glass of wine or cold beverage. The property is one half of a duplex and your side is very private. And for the kids it's a few minutes walk to the City Park. And, S 4th Place is very quiet with little car traffic. Close in yet removed. It's perfect!

Why Manzanita? Cannon Beach is popular with a great beach - and it has a lot a big hotels, some chain restaurants and businesses and not very quaint. Manzanita is just 12 miles south and is considered more of a village that's less crowded yet featuring full amenities found on Landeda Avenue including; boutique shops, restaurants, coffee houses, grocery stores, spas, cafes, wine bars and more - all locally owned and operated. Where Laneda Ave. meets the ocean is an uninterrupted, dog friendly seven mile beach with awesome views of Neahkahnie Mountain to the north. Once you park your car at 3ONE8 Manzanita - everything is walkable! Other towns: Seaside, OR is great if you like strip malls and loud teenagers, Rockaway Beach is great if you like kitchsky shops on busy Highway 101 and Arch Cape is quaint yet lacks most services. Manzanita has much more of a chill vibe - more of a locals spot with less people and crowds - yet with full services. Of course we're biased - but we did our research over 20 years ago! We visited every coastal town from Astoria down to Newport over a five year period - and liked Manzanita the best for it's charm, beauty, size, services, proximity to PDX and overall vibe and feel. I'm a Portland based professional who first came to Manzanita in 1994. We checked out a lot of Oregon coastal towns over a five year period and always came back to the village of Manzanita. It's the perfect size “community” (close to PDX and w/ full amenities but not overrun with tourists) and when an opportunity presented itself to invest in a vacation rental property - we pulled the trigger. After extensive remodels, we're happy to share 3ONE8 Manzanita, and our new fully furnished, monthly retreat - 3THREE8 Manzanita - with people that like high end finishes and modern ammenaties in a casual and relaxed setting. It’s beautiful here. Me? I’m kind of retired managing the vacation rental properties ... and I love doing it! I traveled around the world a few years ago (literally) and am a stickler for top notch accommodation and Airbnb’s ... and only stay at Airbnb’s hosted by Superhosts.
