I am renting out my entire small artsy city center apartment while I travel, 1 bedroom / 1 bath with Living room and a tiny kitchen.

GUESTS MUST HAVE A GOOD REFERENCES OR VERFIED IDs.

(7-day minimum, Two-week maximum stay.)

I have CABLE TV.

My little apartment is very centrally located in Barrio Lastarria, near many museums, cafes, restaurants, theaters, parks, shops, film festivals, street performers, etc...

Although my neighborhood is lively, my apartment is surprisingly quiet for such a central location.

It's a 3-min walk to one metro line and 8-min walk to another. And quite a few of the major tourist attractions in Santiago are within walking distance. There are grocery stores near as well.

Now, my kitchen is truly tiny, but you can and are welcome to cook there.

It's not a party apartment, but it's located near almost all the great places to go out.

Feel free to drop me a line and ask questions.

VERY centrally-located to many metro and bus stops. I provide one BIP card to borrow, (public transportation access card necessary to ride buses or metros that you must recharge with money). Feel free to use it, and also please leave it for the next guest.

The entire apartment, (minus one storage space).

I meet my guests to give them the key and walk-through the apt. As well, I can make suggestions on events happening in the city.

Barrio Lastarria is a quaint street with tons of restaurants bars and shopping and is near most of the city's tourist sites.

The apartment is a three-minute walk to the main metro line and a 11-minute walk another. It is also a 3-minute walk to the main street in the city with all the bus lines.
There are plenty of buses, (called "micros" here). And you can find your around with small maps that I have in the small/guest room.

FROM THE AIRPORT:
(If you're flight is not very late then, you have the option of taking a shuttle to the metro.)
To take semi/public transport, you will get on the CENTRO PUERTO BUS or the TURBUS Airport Shuttle ($1,500CLP) that drops you off at METRO PAJARITOS. There you take the METRO, ($680CLP) to my stop UNIVERSIDAD CATOLICA. I'm about a 3-minute walk around the corner, (just make sure you get off on the LASTARRIA exit.)

FOR SHUTTLES AND TAXIS, BUY THE TRAVEL VOUCHER BEFORE LEAVING THE INTNL SECURITY AREA. After customs and before you leave the secured area, there are shuttle/taxi stands where you can buy a voucher and then walk outside directly to taxi/shuttle stand without being hassled by or having to decide which driver you trust.

If you want to take a SHARED SHUTTLE, take TransVip, (tired or whatever), it's door-to-door with mulitple stops for around ($8,000CLP). With mulitple stops, you just have be ready to maybe have a long ride.

TAXIS are around ($15,000CLP) are the fastest, but again purchase the travel voucher inside the security area. Easier.

Here's another wesbite (a little dated, but good info):

I had a wonderfully-friendly, long-haired cat and although he has been gone a few months it has caused problems for people with severe allergies.

The apt is located near many bars and pubs, great places to meet with friends, i.e. not in the apt. The apartment building is usually quiet, with very little street noise.
I have tons of old guide books that you are welcome to use during your stay, and I have a few contacts with tour companies if want a special perspective or just don't feel like planning a day.
I welcome you into my home, so please just respect it.

I'm from the States, grew up in Florida and have been living in Chile for over nine years now. I am corporate coach and professor here in the city, but also am involved in writing, music and curating art shows. I try to go out at least twice a week to hear live music and love the theater and dance here in Santiago.
I'm new at hosting, but feel like I have to share my fabulous neighborhood, as it's at the mecca of art, theater, cafes and short walk or metro ride to almost any part of the city.
