Beautiful apartment in restored stone farmhouse. Comfortably hosts up to 5 people: 2 bedrooms with balconies, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen. Located in the green hills outside Spoleto. Come taste our farm produce: fruit, veg, eggs, cheese!
Hidden in a green valley you'll find our farmhouse, built in typical Umbrian style: stone, bricks, terracotta, with immense chestnut beams. It was rebuilt in 2008: the interior is spacious, light, clean, simple, with antique furnishings. Guests have commented that the kitchens are "gorgeous". Our two apartments ("I Meli"and "I Fichi") are adjacent and can be connected to make a large living space for up to 10 people.

The apartments are over our home, and usually one of us is working in the fields nearby. We're available and glad to be helpful, but are not invasive. Our two little boys are delighted to play with guest children.
This is a working farm, a neat place to visit for families and people interested in agriculture. We try to combine the best aspects of traditional local agriculture (low waste, low input, saving seed) with the best ideas and practices in modern agriculture (disease-resistant cultivars, drip irrigation, post-harvest management), working to achieve a sustainable system. Both of us are passionate about sustainable agriculture and enjoy hosting people who are interested in the subject.
You are welcome to wander the farm, being careful around the large animals and leaving all gates shut. Smoking allowed outdoors only, thank you.
I was born in America, and married Adolfo in 2003. Our shared passion for sustainable farming drove us to bring back to life this long-abandoned farm. We have 2 children, Benjamin and Filippo, and a variety of farm animals: 6 goats, 6 sheep and a cow. We enjoy having guests and sharing our farm produce with them.
