Brenda, my host, met with me personally on my arrival date and went over details with me in person (which she also covered in detail in written material available in room for easy reference later). She had great attention to detail, including making available a first aid kit, which proved helpful as I banged my hand during the last few minutes of my stay and easy access to a bandaid was perfect (and I am not a big believer/user in/of bandaids). The location is very quiet and convenient---only a few blocks from The Lark, where I have stated previously, and closer still to the Emerson Center, which has interesting outdoor sculptures as well as indoor galleries and fantastic artwork/jewelry/cards for sale and hosts yoga classes (see Pure Healing Yoga). I had the house to myself most of the time as the host was out of town after our initial meeting. Brenda was also flexible in allowing me to change my reservation and arrive a day earlier than planned initially. Easy walk to downtown. Radio available in room. No TV in house. Breakfast foods available (granola, tea, coffee, milk, cream, string cheese, hard boiled eggs, sausage) since host absent. Brenda left a phone number so I could reach her if necessary (this was not necessary).

Susan - Thanks so much for the great suggestions. I don't know why I never thought of bear spray. I do have an extra can and will provide this to visitors to use. I also have a Scrabble game and playing cards I can leave upstairs for guests. I'm hoping to build a back patio in the future so we can all enjoy the trees and flowers in the backyard, but sadly not this year. Hope you can return another time and hopefully I'll be able to get to know you better. All the best, Brenda

Brenda met me at the house when I arrived and was warm and gracious. The neighborhood is historic and lovely. The home is completely renovated and very tastefully done. This exceeded my expectations, especially for the price.

Brenda was the perfect host. We stayed with her for seven days so we got a good sense of she really offers. Her home and our room were immaculate. I knew Brenda was always available if we needed her but she was never intrusive -- always behind-the-scenes. Her extra touches such as treats in the refrigerator for breakfast and lunch, advice about what to do and where to go, and very clear check-in instructions all made our stay relaxing and lovely. Her location -- in a residential neighborhood just a few blocks from Bozeman's historic downtown with its shops, restaurants and coffeehouses, was exactly what we were looking for. We can't wait to return.
