Price is for Sunday though Thursday. Weekends are $125. Located in the country at 1400' elevation, 5 miles west of Atascadero on Hwy. 41, 10 miles to Morro Bay, 15 minutes to Paso Robles wine country, 20 minutes to vibrant San Luis Obispo, 45 minutes to Cambria, Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal Rookery. Furnished one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. Price includes City 'occupancy' tax.

This private space is beautifully furnished and offers south and west (great sunsets) views of tree covered Frog Pond Mtn. (2437'). We have many trails on our 11 acres. A 10 minute hike takes you to our Creek and another 15 minutes to the top (1733') of our mountain.

Stairway to 2nd floor casita. Free use of washer and dryer.

It's a private apartment but we are on site and enjoy interacting with our guests.

We are centrally located in San Luis Obispo County so you're only 5 to 45 minutes to all the major attractions our beautiful county has to offer.

There is public transportation but generally you'll need a car.

I've lived in the county since 1971 so I can tell you more than you probably care to hear about our county and history.

Accès des voyageurs

If we're not home the casita will be unlocked for you with the key inside.

We on site so just ring our doorbell if you have any questions.

Autres remarques

En raison de notre emplacement en montagne, le service cellulaire peut être «douteux». Vous pouvez utiliser notre ligne terrestre si nécessaire. Nous avons Internet, mais parfois nous sommes "laissés tomber" un peu.

Due to our mountainous location cell service can be "iffy". You can use our land line if needed. We have internet but sometimes we get 'dropped' for a bit.

Tout simplement parfait, loin des grand centre mais idéal pour visiter les vignobles de la région. Steve et Dana sont très accueillant et voient à tout les détails pour notre confort.

Great, seasoned AirBnB hosts whose passion for hospitality shows in just about every aspect of the stay. Need to know where to park? There’s a sign for that. Need to know how long of a hike it is to the top of their property? There’s a book for that. Need the AC? Instructions conveniently nearby. The unit they rent is nice and big, very spacious for two people. Conveniently located close to wine country, camping, and the zoo! Stay at Dana and Steve’s, you won’t regret it.

Dana and Steve were out taking care of the landscaping when I got there and both were very welcoming. There was a bottle of wine waiting for me, which was a great touch. The place is cozy with everything you could possibly need and extra toiletries if you need them. For me the bed was very comfortable and I was able to sleep with the windows open. The nights are very quiet and you can see so many stars when it's clear. I did hike up to Belmont Peak and there are plenty of places to sit if needed - just don't forget the hiking poles like I did. Since the Casita is close to the road, it does get noisy during "rush hour" but really not all that bad. Easy driving distance to beaches and other central coast towns but if you prefer to hang out, you've got books, magazines, and a sweet little patio (and a garden bench just up the hill) to enjoy your time with your favorite beverage. I would definitely come back!

Dana and Steve were so great. Property and its views were serine. And the location was within minutes if food, wineries and breweries.

La Casita is an oasis on the Central Coast. Very private. The hosts have given great attention to details and comfort. The kitchen is well organized and efficient. I love cooking on a gas stove. (It lights easily, instantly.) Oh! and the quiet! The blessed quiet.. leave the window open. Breathe the mountain air.

Exactly as advertised - a pretty location! Were sad we didn't have more time to explore the property.

My husband (Steve Click) and I built our cabin in Sequoia Crest in 2003, and our home and guest apartment in Atascadero, in 2008.
We love the Sierra's, especially the giant sequoia trees in the Alder Creek Grove. There are just 103 cabins in the Sequoia Crest and only about 18 full time residents. You'll find serenity and nature's awesome beauty along the many walking trails. You'll find the 3000 year old 'Stagg' tree (5th largest tree) along Alder Creek. Our cabin is our second home and is not your usual "rental cabin." For many years we have offered our cabin as an auction item for fund raising for different non-profit organizations. We have never had a problem with quests who have stayed at our cabin, so we decided to offer our special place in the sequoia's on Airbnb.
In 2006, we bought 11.6 acres in the hills between Morro Bay and Atascadero. In 2008 we built our retirement home. I've lived in San Luis Obispo County since 1971. I came to attend Cal Poly and fell in love with the natural beauty of the county and the small towns. San Luis Obispo is our largest city, with only 44,000 residents. Our private guest apartment is not far from the many attractions in the county. We love interacting with our guests and will fill you in on the best places to see and explore.
