If you're looking for time off from life, this is your spot! Lay under the Willow tree, listen to trees rustling, enjoy a campfire, or pretend you're in a time gone by. Loved staying here, and wishing we could recreate some of the charm of the cabin in our home! Details: shower is clean, kitchen is stocked with a hotplate and basic cooking items, coffee maker, and get the campfire breakfast!!! Cozy lazy boys in living space! You will have privacy which is what you're looking for if you've clicked this cabin!! Go to Dayton and shop! Enjoy!

Ray and Rosemary were kind hosts, wish we'd had a chance to stay longer. The road to the cabin was well marked with signs. The cabin itself is near Ray and Rosemary's larger house. The cabin now has a hot shower and toilet which weren't available when some earlier reviews were written. Everything worked great and the cabin was a very good value and a pretty area.

We moved from a small farming town to a large city. I had forgotten how peaceful life can be until I spent time on their property. We expected less and experienced more. I look forward to returning.

Ray and Rosemary were wonderful host. Their house is beautiful and the grounds are breathtaking. It was quite off the beaten path which is what I was looking for the house is gorgeous and Ray and Rosemary are wonderful company. I would definitely recommend having the campfire breakfast. I will be looking forward to my next stay with Ray and Rosemary.

We had a wonderful visit! Very quiet. Amenities were as described (chemical toilet in a closet downstairs, limited kitchen facilities, fire pit for cooking) and setting was enchanting. Quietest nights we've spent. Ray and Rosemary are wonderful and the breakfasts alone will have us coming back. We had some slight confusion checking in, there was some renovation work not described in the listing, and there were some hiccups getting settled in. But once we were set, it was an absolutely perfect weekend. Many thanks!

The cottage was exactly as expected. All of our needs were met and the listing helped us know all of its unique aspects in advance. There were no surprises. The property is naturally beautiful. We felt like we were walking on a private homestead of a time gone by. The pond, log cabins and campfire area are tranquil and beautifully landscaped. The cottage bed was especially comfortable. The relaxing play of rain on the tin roof lulled us to sleep. We could not fit in a home cooked breakfast, but we look forward to experiencing it since we promise to be back. Ray and Rosemary went out of their way to prepare for our visit and to make our stay very comfortable!
