Luxurious private villa with landscaped gardens, swimming pool, panoramic beach & inland views. Well furnished, comfortable for smaller family, but also very good for double family or group of golf players (3 courses within 15min). Ample, varied living quarters; 2 master suites. The ample villa "Els Peixos" is located in a very private setting on a coastal hill, overlooking the sea and the Islas Medes, as well as the coast line to Estartit, Rosas and the Cadaques peninsula. It is a perfect family holiday destination, with its own large swimming pool, multiple terraces, 2 barbecues, and perfectly landscaped gardens.
To the north, the long and wide sandy beach extends all the way to Estartit. Immediately south of the villa one finds the first of the many secluded coves and small sandy beaches typical of the Costa Brava. One of the first coves serves as a naturist beach.
The villa itself is very well appointed and furnished. It has central heating for year-around comfort and has all amenities. While attractive and pleasant for a smaller party, with its two master bedrooms, three more double bedrooms and ample living spaces, it is especially suitable also for occupancy by more than one family or, for example, by a group of golf players.
Set in well maintained gardens on a total site of 1670m2, the villa measures 340m2, exclusive of the terraces. Four large and smaller terraces are facing in different directions, offering varied views. The terrace off the dining room has a small barbecue. In addition, a wide terrace surrounds the pool and has a large barbecue with sink and running water.
Living quarters are ample and varied. The living room is well furnished and has a fireplace, nice on chilly off-season evenings (although there is also central heating throughout the house). On a split-level with the living is the family/T.V.-room. The separate dining room can be left open to the other living quarters or closed off by a pair of sliding wood panel doors. The separate kitchen is beautifully wood paneled and fully equipped. On the garden level, the large (7.5 x 4 m) bar/activities room has running water and a sink behind the bar, and an additional refrigerator; it exits towards the main garden and swimming pool.
There are two master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The master suite one on the upper level also has its own private terrace with great views over the entire coast. The other one is located directly at the main terrace overlooking garden, pool, and beach; it also has a small fireplace for your winter visits. Three more double bedrooms have twin beds; there is a large third full bathroom and an additional guest toilet. All bedrooms have at least double closet space. A convertible sofa bed is located in the bar/activities room. Adjacent is the outside shower at the poolside.
While cars can safely be left parked in the quiet road outside, the house has a private driveway and an in-house garage. On the same level as the garage and the bar/activities room, there is a separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Els Peixos is within minutes of excellent formal restaurants (as the 5-star Sa Punta just down the hill, or fine dining at El Convent); Masias (restored country estates) and friendly Spanish family bodegas, at the main beach, and in surrounding towns.

You will have the villa, pool & grounds entirely to yourselves, not shared with anyone else. Just a few closets in the top bedroom with personal effects are closed, but even so there is ample closet space in that room as well as in all others.

We ourselves are not there when guests enjoy the house. But our local keyholder/agent is just down the hill, will receive you on arrival and can be helpful during your stay. Swimming pool maintenance & gardener should be the only intrusions!
RENTAL RATES: the rental schedule for 2018 was not posted yet, so you may have been shown rental rates based on the minimum, off-season rate of only Eur 1400 per week. Please note that mid- and peak season weeks are substantially higher than the winter minimum, and range from Eur 1950 to Eur 3640. Just submit the request for your dates and we will quote you the applicable rate.
LINENS: Kitchen linens are provided. Bed/bath linens are available from our local agent, at e.15 p.p. for duration of stay -- please pay this locally on arrival.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT : some flexibility may exist if scheduled times are inconvenient; please check with owner if necessary.
SUPPLIES: nothing quite as bad as having to rush out to the store on arrival to buy literally everything! At our house, salt, spices, staples, some canned goods, paper wares, detergents, and many other normal supplies are freely available. We just ask that you replace whatever you (almost) finish, so that following guests don't have to do without on their arrival.
SMOKING -- we would prefer that you step outside to one of the terraces to do so. But please do NOT smoke in bedrooms.
TERRACE FURNITURE: please bring in pillows at night, so that they don't get damp or sprinkled on. Also, please use terry covers provided for pillows--covers are washable (is appreciated if you do before you leave), pillows are not.

I was born in Michigan where I met Ben, the man of my life, who happened to come from Holland. We have been together and travelled for a good 50 years, we have 3 wonderful children and 6 marvelous grand children. I can't live without them!
I love to play piano, read, garden and pick out stars with my telescope. I like space and comfortable living, love mediterranean cooking, sunning and swimming in beautiful surroundings with sunny vistas. This is why we chose this particular house.
As private owners, we use the villa very much as our own residence and not as a vacation rental. So it is furnished and equipped accordingly! But we cannot be there all year and since it is a shame to let such a beautiful place go unused, we have decided to let it parts of the year.
We expect guests to enjoy the house as we do and as they would enjoy their own home.
