Pictures taken by official AirBnB guy!!
Under a canopy of Hardwoods. SAFETY: this is a walk-around-at-night and come-home-in-the-dark kind of neighborhood!! Full of kids and families. It's right in-between downtown Decatur and downtown Oakhurst and Winnona Park- both being a three minute drive away. Or a 10 minute bike ride....
Pets OK, $15 each, per stay, very small fenced yard area, but lots of good neighborhood walking!
Great place to stage a Decatur or Intown Atlanta week!!
Full on kitchen, games, books, crayons and big roll of paper for the kids.
King and two twin bunk beds in one bedroom
Two Double-Beds in the other bedroom.
Sofa is a sleeper with a pillow-topper mattress, very comfy.
I can bring a futon or a twin mattress/boxspring combo up for the 10th and 11th person, if needed. I have a pack-n-play crib

Late check-ins are never a problem since we'll assign you a door code, and you don't need to meet for your 'key".
We really want to maintain our flexible policy on check-in and check-out times. Here is my promise: I will do everything I can to accommodate your times if you can be patient for the guarantee. I've got to check with others to make sure it works... Early check-in and late checkout depend on both your requests and the preceding/ following guests' Otherwise, here is what the one-page HOUSE MANUAL (in your Itinerary) will say-- Check-in will be anytime after 3 pm and Check-out will be anytime before 11am UNLESS YOU REQUEST flexibility with some notice.
New York Times: Decatur is the “Gastronomic Equivalent of Berkeley or Brooklyn” in Thriving Atlanta Food Scene
(URL HIDDEN)
From NY Times April 2015---
Equal parts molasses-drawled Southern and au courant, Decatur, Ga., has in the last 20 years recast itself from the sleepy DeKalb County seat catering to commuting government nine-to-fivers to one of the South’s trendsetters. Residents say the township, six miles from Atlanta proper, is where “Mayberry meets Berkeley.” Bordered by Emory University and Agnes Scott College, Decatur is anchored by a late 19th-century courthouse (now the DeKalb History Center) and a leafy square dense with some of the state’s best restaurants, pubs and shops. The walkable downtown hosts more than three dozen festivals a year

--No smoking inside, not anywhere inside
--Your "key" is a door code we'll assign to you.
- Message me when you are 2 hours away, so we can be sure to be ready for you, and, maybe, meet you there.
--Late check-ins not a problem- we won't have to meet up for check-in.
-You share a only one, short, hallway wall with next door, folks, they are long-term (and long-time!) tenants. Consideration has its own rewards.
-We really want to maintain our flexible policy. I will do everything I can to accommodate your times. If the night before is not booked (and we won't know until that afternoon!) we're probably OK with 8am arrival... If you want to check-out at 5pm and no one is coming that night, probably OK. We do have a space where you can store bags, too. Check-in will be anytime after 3 pm and Check-out will be anytime before 11am UNLESS YOU REQUEST flexibility with some notice.
--Civilized behavior is expected at all times.
-Wash your own dishes
-turn off the AC/heater when you checkout
-lock windows and both front doors, and scramble digits when you leave.
-make sure one key stays in the box at all times
--Pet Fee is $15 per pet, per stay-- lots of good walking around!!
PET OWNERS - We are dog and cat people, too. We need your help in order to maintain our open policy to pets. Pets are not allowed on furniture/beds without drop cloths or sheets. We have a few at each listing. $15 per per , per stay fee does NOT apply to carpet/furniture/bedding cleaning!! Everyone gets that dogs are gonna bark with comings and goings, but continued barking will be a dealbreaker

Scott and Margots place is a hop, skip and jump away from downtown Decatur. It's a beautiful walk right into town for food, coffee or mom and pop shops! The house was clean, cute and comfy. I'd recommend this place for sure, especially if you want to stay in a reliable, affordable house near the city. Two thumbs up!

Good location in a quiet neighborhood and a five minute drive from several walkable streets with restaurants. Not the fanciest accommodations but good for a place to stay on a budget. The entertainment system was nice.

Decatur native, attorney, married to Atlanta native, 3 kids, urban gardener with about 750,000 bees and exactly 26 laying hens. Margot (9th grader!!) helps me with me pretty much everything in the Airbnb business. I couldn't have imagined what an incredible business experience this has been for a young lady. Letting her convert a few of our apartments into short-term rentals has given her first-hand business experiences that babysitting just doesn't cover!!
