This renovated 1-bedroom apartment is on a charming street steps from the beach in the picturesque village of Praia da Areia Branca.
Dine or relax on the terrace of this ocean-side apartment located in the most picturesque and peaceful neighborhood that, however, is in the center of town.
The village is ideally located - a mere 15 km from Peniche, 25 km from Obidos and 70 km from Lisbon.
And there is plenty to do in this area located a mere 15 km from Peniche, 25 km from Obidos and 70 km from Lisbon.
The village is lively but not wild and features a variety of cafés, restaurants, bars, a tennis court, a children’s playground and a scenic beach promenade.
The apartment has 1 bedroom with two single beds (easily pushed together to form a double) and a large wardrobe in the hall. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed for two persons. The kitchen has a cooktop and stove, large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all necessary cutlery. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Ocean view from the terrace. French doors leading to a sunny terrace perfect for relaxation (or even meditation).
Satellite TV in the apartment, WiFi café just around the corner and an Internet café nearby.
Towels and linen are changed weekly. Free weekly cleaning.
Praia da Areia Branca, which literally means “beach of white sand,” is ideal for walks along the promenade or, for the more ambitious, for long walks along the vast beach or along the peaceful cliff-side road leading to the Paimogo Fort overlooking a beautiful bay.
Activities in Praia da Areia Branca:
Tennis court and tennis school 200 m from the house
2 surf schools and surf equipment rental
Wonderful children’s playground next to the tennis court
Go-kart track (2 km)
Dinosaur museum in Lourinhã, a delightful historic town 3 km away
Activities in Peniche:
Deep sea fishing;
Scuba diving trips and diving school;
Ferry trips to the Berlengas Island nature reserve, a magnificent island with a beach, fort, walking paths, trips to grottos on local boats and breathtaking views;
A wide variety of seafood restaurants;
Watching the coming and going of colourful fishing boats in the port and also recreation boats at the marina.
Obidos is a picturesque medieval castle town that is an absolute must visit.
Most important, Praia da Areia Branca is a friendly village where you won’t be treated just like another tourist.
I live and work in Praia da Areia Branca and will be pleased to offer any assistance or information.
Although Praia da Areia Branca offers almost everything you’ll need at its local vegetable market, food shop, bakery, etc., in Lourinha (3 km) you’ll also find 3 large supermarkets, all types of shops, a post office, a public medical centre, churches, pharmacies and so on.

I'm a Portuguese-Canadian translator, sailor and home renter living in Praia da Areia Branca.
I was born in Portugal - 2 km from Praia da Areia Branca - where I lived until my family moved to Canada when I was nine.
Twelve years ago, I was drawn back to this picturesque ocean-side village by memories of a happy childhood spent playing on the beach.
In my free time I like to sail my Corbin 39 cutter. My minor claim to fame is having sailed it across the Atlantic. As boat owners know, in reality I spend most of my free time doing boat maintenance work.
