Autres remarques

Hall is a located in the north west area of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia.
The town is named after the first landholder in the area, Henry Hall and founded in 1882. In 1911 Hall was included within the boundary of the land allocated for the Australian Capital Territory, close to the north western corner, near the New South Wales border.
Although considered a village, similar to Tharwa, in practical terms Hall might now be considered an outer suburb of Australia’s capital City Canberra.
In 1954 the main street of Hall (which had been part of the state highway system since 1935) was named the Barton Highway.
In 1980 the alignment of the highway was shifted to the south as part of a dual carriage upgrade, bypassing Hall completely.
Some features of note within Hall village are the equestrian park, playing fields, showground, and former Hall Primary School, along with a small shopping centre and three historic churches.
The showground area plays host to the Hall Markets held on the first Sunday of every month. This an award winning and very popular charity market showcasing local farm produce and hand crafted goods. This a cottage industry lover's dream.
"Riverview Homestead" is located in the Hall area on the NSW side of the border 11.73 kms down Wallaroo Road from the Barton Highway.

We had a lovely stay in wallaroo. The landscape is amazing. There are cows, sheep, horses, cats. The kids loved it and we did too. The beds were comfortable, they had a cot for our one year old and some toys for my children to play with. Thanks a lot! And thanks for being wonderful hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverview Homestead. Robyn and Les were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage is very comfortable and the countryside is lovely. Special treat for us was feeding the sheep and cows and watching the three gorgeous calves. Thanks Robyn and Les

We had the most terrific time at Les`s and Robyn`s place. We could not believe the beautiful setting and yet 30 min proximity to a big city! Our hosts really supported our needs and spoiled us with Robyn`s homemade bread on several occasions, wow! The garden helped us to totally drop and recover. We loved all the different pets around. There is all the reason for us to come back for more and bring people with us. Gratitude to both of you, dear Les and Robyn. Warmest regards Michael and Lara

Had a brilliant stay with our two boys aged 2 and 5, Les and Robyn could not have been kinder. The boys loved giving the lamb a bottle, feeding the cows and collecting the eggs from the chickens. Really close to get into Canberra but with the advantage of being rural.

Sally and her two children were a delight to host and the sheep, horses and cows are really missing the very special attention they lavished on them. We would love to see you back. Les and Robyn

Our motto is "Relax with nature in country comfort".
We live on a hazelnut farm in a peaceful pastoral valley just out of Canberra and host a bed and breakfast here. The views are stunning and we overlook the Murrumbidge river which our 40ac property fronts on to. You can enjoy breakfast soaking up these views.
We run sheep and cows and a few chooks, as well as the many varied wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, birds etc.
Our accommodation is fully self contained and we can supply all you need for a "hearty cook your own" breakfast, which includes eggs, bacon, homemade bread, jams and muesli, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Continental breakfast only is included in our basic and weekly rates.
We offer up to 2 rooms both with their own ensuites. Whether you are a couple or an extended family you have exclusive use of the private kitchenette/lounge/dining room. Pets are welcome in unit, however, are not permitted in the bedrooms (please ask for copy of our pet policy).
"Riverview Homestead" is within 25 minutes drive of most Canberra attractions and even closer to the major shopping centres.
We would love you to check out our website/listing for guests comments.
