Le logement

Although located only 8 minutes walk from all shops, pubs and restaurants of the vibrant Clifden town centre in Connemara, it is situated on a quiet road by the banks of the Owenglen River an anglers paradise for salmon and trout fishing.
We are absolutley delighted to offer this exceptional 5 bedroom home perched high overlooking Capolla Hill on a lovely quiet road. This large detached bungalow has a cosy atmosphere with a country classic look which makes it very comfortable. From the moment you step inside you will feel at home. It offers the luxury and warmth of a truly rural Irish holiday home.

Capoola House has the best of both worlds .. only a short walk (approx 8 mins) into Clifden Town yet is set in a lovely quiet location with only the sound of the birds to wake you up in the morning. (15 minute walk to the playground).

Capolla House is excellent for entertaining a large group of people. There is full kitchen facilities include double oven, microwave, large fridge, separate large freezer. Separate washing machine and dryer all guaranteed to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There are 2 dining areas and sun room. To the side of the house is a separate entrance to a very large room accommodating a king size bed, 2 further single beds, fitted wardrobe, dressing table and an ensuite shower room (you can also access this large area from the dining room. It is perfect for teenagers / granny flat / family with young children.

This fabulous holiday home boasts five bedrooms (Master bedroom with king size bed, 2 twin beds, triple room & 2 doubles) 4 of the bedrooms are ensuite, there is a separate shower room and family bathroom.
There is a large car park to the front and the back of the house, ideal for boats / kayaks / motorbikes / will fit ample amount of cars.

There are two entrances to Capoola House either drive up a private lane way from the N59 Galway Road to the back of the house, or enter the house by the Low Road (accessed just off the N59 Galway Road), where you can park either in the front car park or drive to the back of the property where again there is a large private car park.

Accommodation comprises of:

From the main entrance hall, there is a comfy sitting room with a stove fire, oak wood flooring, 3 seater couch and 2 armchairs. The living room enjoys plenty of sunlight through large bay windows overlooking Capolla wooded Hill. This room is very homely and cosy and lovely to snug up in the evenings after a fun filled day. From here there is a door leading to a large dining room with ample tables and chairs to entertain in the evening, there are 3 stairs leading down to a cosy sun room, there is a door leading out onto a patio area where you will find a gas BBQ, picnic table and a further table and chairs where one can enjoy eating al fresco, or just relax and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset over Clifden Monument.

From the dining room area there is a door leading to a huge room comprising of a king size bed, 2 further single beds, ample fitted wardrobes, dressing table and ensuite shower room – there is a separate entrance to this part of the house leading to the back of the property where there is a very large car park.

There is a very spacious fully equipped kitchen/dining area with all mod cons for the cooking enthusiasts wanting to dine in Capolla House. The dining table seats 6. There is lots of storage cupboards in the property.

From the main entrance hallway there is 4 bedrooms, (3 double rooms, 1 triple room – 3 ensuite, 1 separate bathroom and 1 separate shower room).

Bedroom 1: (Private entrance from the back of the property or you can access internally from the dining room) Large bedroom with a king size bed and two further single beds. Ample fitted wardrobes and a dressing table. Ensuite shower room. Large window overlooking the private lane way leading to the N59 Galway Road.

Double bedroom with fitted wardrobe, dressing table and ensuite shower room. Window to the front of the property.

Bedroom 3:
Triple bedroom with double and single bed, fitted wardrobes with dressing table and ensuite shower room. Window to the front of the property.

Bedroom 4:
Double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and dressing table, ensuite shower room. Window to the back of the property.

Bedroom 5:

Double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and dressing table, window to the back of the property.

Capolla House is a parents dream – it has games / books for kids / travel cot / high chair / buggy / car seat / car booster seat. (This will delight all Mum’s … if you are anything like me … you have more room for all your shoes !!!).

This house will book up quickly – do not delay book now !!

Please note: This house is situated on the grounds of the owners residence. The owner lives to the back of the main residence in a private chalet. Holidaymakers will not be disturbed in anyway.

Nôtre hôte Yvonne a été extrêmement accueillante, que ce soit avant par mail pour la préparation du séjour, ou à notre arrivée, par ses qualités relationnelles, la présence de fleurs fraîches et de nourriture. Cette maison spacieuse et très lumineuse côté sud, était conforme à ce qui était décrit sur le site, dans un environnement à la fois très calme, et très proche du centre-ville, accessible en 10 minutes à pied. Domiciliée juste à côté, Yvonne a su faire preuve d'une grande discrétion, et préserver notre intimité. Comme nous avons pu le lui dire à notre départ, nous regrettons de ne pas l'avoir sollicitée davantage, pour un véritable échange culturel.
