À propos de ce logement
A lovingly styled, first-floor, private apartment in our 1960's home. Fully-equipped kitchen, bedroom, full bath, dining room, and living room with sofa bed. Separate entrances and parking. Covered porch and garden. Family-friendly. We gladly welcome guests of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. Lots of windows and plants! Close to downtown!
The apartment is a dedicated guest space. We have lovingly rehabbed and decorated it over the last year with the intention of having a comfortable and memorable home for guests to enjoy their time in East Nashville to the fullest. Furnishings and decor are a mix of flea market finds and modern comfort. Above all, we strive to offer an impeccably clean and safe space to our guests. Échanges avec les voyageurs
We live in the other parts of the house, full-time, and are available as little or as much as our guests need.
We do require an in-person check in and walk through. We love to make personalized recommendations when we meet you.
There is a coded lock to the apartment so you can come and go with ease.
We don't have cable, but the TV in the living room gets local broadcast channels and is equipped with Netflix.
In person check in is required. We are granting access to our home, and we find that meeting our guests face-to-face puts everyone at ease.
If you are bringing children with you, please let us know. We are happy to have children of any age, but no one likes a surprise guest they weren't expecting (no matter how small). Yes, they count as extra guests when booking, as we do extra prep and extra cleaning when children stay with us. Infants are welcome to stay free of charge, so no need to add them to the reservation, but still give us a heads up. Thanks!
Smoking is permitted on the covered porch just outside the kitchen door or anywhere outside the apartment.
We are lovers of all animals, but ask that you leave your pets at home. We do have a cat and two sweet dogs on our side of the house, but they are never permitted in the apartment as we know that some people are extremely allergic.
As part of our efforts to give you the safest and most professional experience, we comply with all local regulations for short term rentals. We have a short-term rental permit and are registered to collect sales tax (9.25%), occupancy tax (6%), as well as hospitality tax of $2.50 for each night of your stay, as is required by the state (taxes are calculated from the reservation amount plus the cleaning fee). Airbnb is not set up to collect these taxes so, like many other hosts, we collect direct from the guest. We try and make it as easy an experience as possible by leaving an envelope in the house with an invoice inside with the total due. Guests may leave cash or check.
I'm originally from the DC Metro and my husband, Sean, is a Nashville native. We relocated here from DC in 2012 and couldn't be happier with our decision. East Nashville is home to so many creative restaurants and businesses and the music scene in Nashville can't be beat!
We spent a little over a year converting the in-law-suite attached to our house into a magical guest suite and airbnb. Intentional is the word that best describes our space. We want your stay with us to be memorable and not just a place to lay your head. We seek out these same kinds of experiences when we use airbnb in other cities.
If we had a motto it would be something about working hard, being kind to others and taking lots of breaks and detours in life because that's what makes this life worthwhile!
