Have you thought about going to Paris, France? Have you considered staying in a hotel on the busy and entertaining Left Bank of the Seine, near the artsy St. Germain district, just around the corner from Notre Dame? Get ready to shell out a small fortune for a multiple night stay in that area... UNLESS YOU BOOK with Thierry! Better than any concierge who has ever hosted you, Thierry will welcome you to the "City of Lights" and make you feel like you are a true Parisian, with the inside scoop on local dining and all the comforts of home!
Okay... for a fraction of the cost of any hotel with in miles you can have every possible comfort at your finger tips. In fact, most of the hotels don't offer such amenities as a free washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchenette... in the room! The room is also professionally cleaned before every stay. The shower stall has a door (not that common in the oldest section of Paris), the bed is comfortable and the TV has English speaking channels. I must have vetted 60 different apartments in search of one that would meet my U.S. tastes and Thierry's Arty St. Germain apartment kept exceeding my expectations. Plenty of space for one or two guests and it includes an outdoor patio for relaxing in the cool Parisian evenings of the mid summer. The building is secure with a double door lock system and is inhabited by respectful renters. Did I mention the apartment has air conditioning? I'm challenge you to beat this find!
The apartment is located within walking distance of Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, more restaurants then you can imagine and the Seine river... with a local park under the Pont Neuf and the famous "Love Lock" Bridge (Pont de l'Archeveche) just around the corner. (P.S. If you are a vintage book lover the side streets of this neighbor hood is full of boutique dealers!) Both the Paris Metro/Subway and the RER Train had stations with in a 4 minute walk of the apartment. We arrived at CDG airport, got on the RER and never had to transfer! We got off a the Saint Michel exit to a view of Notre Dame for god sakes. If that is not a Parisian arrival I don't know what is. Within 4 minutes we had access to the apartment and were settled.
Thierry arrived after we were settled in and provided us a quick and concise tour of the workings of the apartment. He made sure everything was functional and that we were pleased. He then provided us info on the surrounding location (restaurants, sites, etc.) and answered all our questions (in English too). He is a top notch host who does this for a living. And this is isn't his only apartment. So if you need something larger be sure to research his other locations to find what you need!
