À propos de ce logement
Welcome to the Kaloko Farm Studio -- where we celebrate nature and the beauty of Hawaii.
The farm is situated at 1700 feet elevation with an unobstructed 270 degree view of the Kona coastline and cool temperatures! The main house and studio is surrounded by a wide variety of tropical flowers and an infinity lawn that blends into the horizon. This newly remodeled studio is perfect for travelers: private entrance, full bathroom and kitchenette.
And, the most amazing sunsets!
For this slice of paradise, we wanted to embrace an idea of simple living while finding solitude in native plants and fauna.
The Studio is a spacious 300 square foot studio with its' own private entrance and garage. It's the perfect mountain top hideaway with ocean view - The newly renovated bungalow can comfortably accommodate a single traveler, or two-people traveling together. It's a cozy retreat and includes all the amenities one might need during their stay.
This quaint vacation nook also features a stylish kitchenette with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Tucked away, is a small toaster oven, mini-fridge, keurig coffee maker, electric hot plate, pots, pans, and basic seasonings.
Inside the studio are tile hardwood floors and an abundance of windows which opens up to green space and clear skies. The studio also features a spacious vanity sink and shower area. In addition, there's a ceiling fan with plenty of windows for fresh air. We also have a hairdryer and all the basic personal effects in case you forgot something. You'll also have access to the washer/dryer in the laundry area.
The bountiful farm also has over 50 different varieties fruit trees and a small pasture for our sheep and chickens. When available, our guests will also have access to fresh farm eggs and many different types of fresh tropical fruit (depending on whats in season).
If you're feeling adventurous, we have free snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, bamboo mats, and beach towels.

The studio has a private entrance with your very own garage, so you'll have as much privacy as you need. We're friendly folks and love to share the spirit of Aloha. Please let us know if you need anything to make your stay more enjoyable.
If you need recommendations on beaches, restaurants, places to chill, please shoot me a message or check back on our guidebook.
You will love this neighborhood!
The top two reasons are privacy and the cool temperatures. Our subdivision is divided up into 3 acre lots, which means the next neighbor's house is about 200 yards away.
The Kaloko area is one of Kona's most desirable places to live and visit. We are 10 minutes from the airport, 7 minutes to Costco, and within 15 minutes to several beautiful beaches.
This is the most ideal location when staying in the Kona area.
Please rent a car if you're planning on staying with us. Unfortunately, this neighborhood does not have public transit. We prefer our guest to keep to low profile, so hitch hiking is not preferred. Mahalo!
We have put a lot of work into this studio and into our home! The studio is beautiful and we hope you will have a chance to experience it!
Heads up! -- Inspired by feedback from our friendly guests. (Thanks!)
- Our water heaters are powered by solar during the day. It heats up the water and fills the hot water tanks in the garage. It doesn't happen all the time, but from time to time, the pump will go off automatically and you'll hear the water pumping for a few seconds. It pumps as long as it needs to refill the tanks. When you hear the noise, think: "Ahhhh, hot water".
- We live in Hawaii, so naturally we have beautiful sunsets, birds, beaches, and bugs. If there's a BUG'S LIFE Party happening, please let us know and we'll clean up after their mess and remove them.
- re: WIFI - We have a DISH, so when it's cloudy or raining, the speed will be affected.
Be respectful. No smoking. Shoes outside (Hawaii Style!)

I'm originally from Utah and have been living in Hawaii for the past 6 years. I've been on the Big Island since 2014 and extremely stoked to be here and call Kona my home. I was fortunate enough to find this wonderful home on 3-acres a few years ago and happy to share it with friends and new guests!
A little about myself: I'm a small business owner and work in the solar industry on the Big Island. We help homeowners setup their solar operation and teach people about the benefits of solar. I mean, obtaining all the power we need from the sun is pretty amazing! Currently, the house is completely sustained by the sun and working on new ways to be efficient.
My hobbies include diving, spearfishing, and hunting. The goal is to live a simple and healthy lifestyle. I love clean air and clean water. What more can I ask for? However, my greatest love is fruit trees: We have mangoes, avocados, passion fruit, papayas, bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, guava, and many more.
As a host, I'm accessible for your needs and requests. I'd love to accommodate first time visitors to Hawaii island, and returning guests.
Welcome to the Big Island!
