Great value rental house, private, quiet cul-de-sac, walkable to town, grocery store, beaches, and pool (be sure to ask about The Beach House pool pass as it may not be offered up front). Note that there are 6 basic twin beds spread across 3 different rooms, A/C in all. The yard was a large, nice sanctuary with all types of plants/trees, birds flitting around, slugs, snails, and even a green monkey spotting. We enjoyed exploring the cemetery up the road, the Chinese food at the condo building nearby, Just Grillin', and Massy grocery store (best deal in town for eating on a budget). The walk could become tiresome for hot days and with kids (ours were ages 7 & 8), carrying beach/pool gear and groceries. Bring your own beach towels, by the way (none at house to borrow). We would have preferred a car just for the added comfort and freedom, but we didn't reserve one in advance, most rental places were out of cars (it was during the winter holidays), and Dave's was too expensive for us (US$150/day). Buses were plentiful and cheap, but don't expect them to adhere to exact schedules. They are also crowded and quite loud with music at times. So be prepared if you or your child have sensitivities to that. Christel was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Overall, a good value. Note that the stove and oven were difficult to use because all temperature settings on the knobs have been worn off. Also, there is no blender. Otherwise, it met all of our basic needs and expectations.
