Perfectly located between Hollywood and Universal Studios this apartment is ideal for those who need to be close to all the action but still want to unwind in peace and quiet at the end of the day.

Shangri-LA on Treasure Trail was a stunning hills home and lush gardens that has been masterfully transformed by a renowned architect into an equally impressive group of three individual apartments. Located on the first floor this large one bedroom apartment retains the grandeur of the original home with it's high ceilings and includes a kitchen with breakfast bar, lounge room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry.
The spacious living room includes a huge lounge, skylight, gas fireplace, and is decorated like no other with one of a kind artwork.
The chef's kitchen comes complete with everything you need for those of you who enjoy creating their own culinary delights, including sub-zero integrated fridge and state of the art stove, oven, and convection microwave.
A spectacular kitchen needs an equally impressive dining room and ours is no exception with it's wrap around windows and skylight offering a view of the Hollywood sign and has a glass table for four.
The bedroom features a king size Tempur-Pedic memory foam bed (firm), a built in wardrobe, a large chest of drawers, and a 55" 4K ultra high definition TV with Netflix and Cable. For groups of three we have a single mattress we set up on the couch, its extremely comfortable and feels just like a real bed.
The bathroom has a shower large enough for two with plenty of hot water and great pressure, perfect after a long day of sight seeing.
The Washer & Dryer you'll find hidden behind a mirrored door in the hall along with fresh sheets and towels etc.
Street parking is available with four spaces reserved for our building.

Guests will have shared access to the amazing terraced gardens. The lush garden flows into the house so you are not missing out on mother nature if you should find yourself indoors. A view of the famous Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory is to be had from the windows and a small wrap around balcony.

We will usually be here to check guests in personally, if we are away we will organize an alternative check in process with you. The owner (Ray) lives in the upstairs apartment and is helpful with plenty of local knowledge, after all he has been living at this amazing Shangri-LA for the past 40 years! We are very quiet and respectful of our neighbors so kindly ask that you do the same.

This apartment has a very strict No Party Policy. No more than 4 people at the apartment at any time or staying overnight.
(standard pricing is for two guests, additional guests must be requested in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $50 per night per guest)
We absolutely adore our apartment but please remember this is not a brand new luxury hotel, it is our home and it's priced accordingly, for a comparison a nearby Motel charges a similar price for a small room... we guess not everyone knows about Airbnb yet.
Please read our house rules BEFORE booking to clarify anything please ask as we are always happy to help, violation of house rules will result in immediate cancellation of your booking without refund. (We live on site so please don't test this).
--> Shhhhhhhhhhh Please... This apartment has very strict noise restrictions between 8pm and 8am.
--> No Shoes inside... we try to keep our floors nice and clean and find that removing shoes really helps.
--> Three Guest Maximum... No more than 4 people at the apartment at any time and no more than three people staying overnight (additional $50 nightly fee applies).
--> No Pets or Children... Unfortunately the apartment just isn't suitable for pets or children.
--> No Smoking... If you smoke the courtyard or the street are the only options, any evidence (smell, butts, etc) of smoking inside or in the gardens will result in forfeiture of entire security deposit.
--> Be Clean... Please clean up the kitchen (dishes) after use. Bookings for longer than 7 nights will require a mandatory $100 additional weekly cleaning fee.
--> Filming... Prior permission is essential and additional charges apply for any photography or filming permits.
--> NO PARTIES... With noise restrictions and a three guest maximum it should go without saying but absolutely no parties!
The owner lives in the apartment upstairs and we often stay downstairs so please save yourself the trouble if you have any issues with the house rules and book elsewhere. If you're happy to follow the rules then we'd love to have you as our guest!
