Le logement
This ranch was built by my family in 1970. We are lucky to have a beautiful oasis in Charlevoix “The Beautiful”. We are located on Marion Center Rd.

We do not have an oven - we have a miniature toaster oven, a toaster, a microwave, Keurig, and stove top.
Our fridge is a slim fridge (not full size). There is a back up fridge in the garage.

There are 3 bedrooms with full size beds in two of the rooms. A king is in the Master bedroom which also has a half bath attached. Each bedroom has a full closet with hangers.
There are two sofa pull outs in the living room.

As of right now (2021) we are undergoing some minimal construction-which is why the fireplace is not usable.

If you choose to bring an animal it must be leashed the entire time while on our property. We have wildlife living in our backyard and we want to make sure our domesticated and wild animals are safe. Must keep your animals leashed the entire time.

Smoking Policy:
Smoking is NOT allowed in the house or on the premises.

Parking Policy:
Vehicles may be parked in the circle drive only. Vehicles may not be parked in the garage or on the grass.

Pet Policy:
Up to two house-trained dogs are permitted. Additional pets and other types of pets require prior approval from the homeowner ("Host"). Guests are responsible for cleanup of all pet refuse (doggy bags provided). Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Pets shall not be left unattended indoors for an undue length of time and shall not be left outdoors when guests are not on property. Guests are solely responsible for their pets while on premises.

Party and Event Policy:
Small gatherings of no more than 15 people are permitted with prior approval from the Host. Guests and their invitees must be reasonably quiet during the day and quiet after dark, and must not drink irresponsibly or allow underage drinking. Guests must respect the property and the neighbors. Guests are solely responsible for themselves and anyone they invite onto the premises.

Guest Occupancy:
The maximum number of guests is limited to eight (8) people. Additional guests may not stay overnight at the property without prior approval from the Host.

Check-out Procedures:
Guests are expected to follow the check-out procedures, which are provided prior to arrival, as well as at the house. These include things that will help our housekeeper prepare for the next guests, such as starting a load of laundry and a load of dishes, and taking out the trash. They also include safety measures like locking the doors and returning the keys to the key holder by the door. If you are opposed to this, please let us know in advance and we may be able to arrange for an earlier departure with fewer obligations.

Rates and Payment:
Rates are subject to change prior to reservation confirmation. All payments must be made through Airbnb. If Guest arrives later than the reserved arrival date or departs prior to the reserved departure date, any nights not stayed will not be refunded.

Use of Household Items:
The property is furnished and includes many items for Guest use. Household items are not to be removed from the property. Host's personal items in storage are not to be used or removed from the basement or garage. The property, furnishings, and appliances must be kept in good order. Furniture may not be moved from its original location. No alterations or repairs to the home or furnishings may be done by the Guest.

Security Deposit:
A security deposit of $200 is required upon reservation. This deposit will be fully refunded if damages have not occurred and there is no cleaning of an unusual nature required after Guest's stay. Routine and usual cleaning after check-out is included in the rental rate. If additional cleaning expenses or expenses for damages must be incurred to restore the property to its condition at the time of Guest arrival, the amount necessary for said restoration will be deducted from the security deposit, and the balance, if any, will be refunded. If costs for cleaning and/or damages exceed the amount of the security deposit, Guest will be billed for actual expenses incurred.

Damages and Cleaning:
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, Guest must inform Host immediately. If spills, stains, or damages occur during Guest's stay, Guest shall inform Host upon checkout. If such damages require immediate attention in order to prevent further damage or in order for Guest to use and/or enjoy the property amenities, Guest must inform Host immediately so that reparative action can be taken. In the event the Host cannot be reached by phone to report damages or concerns, Guest shall notify the housekeeper (contact information provided at the property).

Waiver of Liability:
During the time Guest utilizes the property, Guest shall remain solely responsible for themselves, their pets, and all their invited guests. This includes any damages to the property, building, furnishings, and household items, and any personal injuries or illnesses that occur. Guest agrees to indemnify and hold Host harmless in such regards. Host is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal property owned by Guest.
