Bathroom, living room, dining room. Backyard, deck and hammock. Small but cool front porch for people watching. Laundry. No kitchen access, but self serve breakfast in dining room and good coffee. Bathroom is shared if the other room on the first floor is booked. Reserve the iPad if you want TV/cable. Reserve mini fridge. Fast internet. Keypad for self entrance at side door.

We are social, but respect your privacy. We want this to be the place you come back to time and again. Hosts are a retired lawyer/professor and a psychologist. Before that was Peace Corps, Wounded Knee, and other volunteer work. We have traveled widely and hiked extensively. We have lived in Ann Arbor for 45 years and can help you with local suggestions (markets, running trails, yoga, restaurants, local services). Rolf also speaks Spanish.
This is the center of the Old Westside, Ann Arbor's historic district. Just walking around the neighborhood is pleasant. We have hug black walnut trees around the property. The location is excellent. Jefferson Market and Washtenaw Dairy are a few minutes stroll from here. Just blocks away from Argos Farm Market, coffee shops, and downtown restaurants. You can walk to dozens of resturants and beer gardens. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) lists 18 places to eat within a 10 minute walk. Safe and beautiful neighborhood with tree lined streets. There is a park a few minutes away.
If you take the Michigan Flyer from the airport, you can walk here from the Blake Transit station if you don't have much to carry. Call a cab or give us a call to see if we are free to pick you up.
There is a bus stop nearby. Walk to downtown is suggested, really 10 minutes. Walk to stadium, downtown and central campus.
But Medical staff: hospital is 33 minute walk, take bus or borrow our bike.
This bathroom has a new shower fixture attached to a large claw foot tub. We on the Old Westside Holmes Tour Sept 20.
We will ask you to sign a copy of the house rules/expectations. At each end of back hallway is a mini step. A cat lives in the house, but is not allowed in this room.
Please, no smoking. No weapons. No flames. Responsible adults expected. No guests brought onto property without emailed permission. Remove shoes in house please, we have Persian carpets. No illegal downloading. No cooking in room. If you come in late, use keypad and enter quietly.

We are in active retired couple who like to ski, cook, swim, dance, run, read, garden and hike. Last spring we ran the Dexter Ann Arbor 10k. We also enjoyed the theater concerts and museums We live in Ann Arbor Michigan. We have four adult children, three live out west and one lives in Michigan and is in med school and PhD program here.
We try to be healthy and shop the farmers' Market, coop, or other places in an attempt to focus on healthy eating. We do not use chemicals in yard, garden or laundry. We recycle and compost. Our house was recently on the Old Westside Homes Tour. Over 500 people bought tickets for a guided tour through this and 5 other houses September 20th.
My husband was a criminal appeals attorney and I was a school psychologist. We travel a great deal. Rolf was in the Peace Corps and speaks Spanish. he also volunteered for a year on the Wounded Knee Defense Team and lived on the reservation.
