Great stay in Kihei! We enjoyed Stacy's condo for almost a week. We didn't know much about Maui & booked flights to the island last minute. We lucked out with Stacy's spot available. She was very accommodating and responded right away. Loved the area - right off the main coastal strip of Kihei!
Coming from Los Angeles we'd wake at 4am (7a PST time) and go for a pre- dawn run. A beautiful 2 mile jog up the street to Kihei cafe is an amazing way to start your day. Sunrise is gorgeous!! Loved the condo's proximity to everything you need, grocery, stores, restaurant, bar.
Makena Beach was an awesome treat. We were blown away by the intense waves & rip tides for boogie / body boarding there (rent some from snorkel bobs up the street before you drive there). After returning we found out that Beach is the number 1 spot of neck & spine injuries on the island! Very fun but be very aware!!
Secret bonus beach : Polo Beach!! We found this last day & loved the initimate feeling on this gorgeous small beach.
We did not use the pool on condo premises but it looked nice! Everyone one the condo property was friendly and helpful. We were gone almost all day everyday but enjoyed coming back to the condo to shower & relax before sleeping.
Food Recs: food land was our go-to grocery store (drive a couple miles north) for fruit & fresh poke from deli for your fridge!! Delicious.
Da Kitchen: (authentic "plate" lunch Hawaiian food w huge portions)- byob but beer / wine right next door
Coconuts fish cafe & Paia fish company: great tacos!
Cafe 808: possibly the best eggs Benedict on the planet AND banana bread French toast! Insanely good!
Activity recommendation: makawao zip lining !! 1/2 mile long zip line over 600 feet in the air above the rainforest !! Unreal.
We were just shocked at how beautiful Maui's landscape gripped us everywhere we went. Big thanks to Stacy for our awesome location & being an excellent host. We can't wait to return!!
