From my home you can walk to restaurants, a movie theater, boutiques and food shopping. The house is in a park like setting. It is 15 minutes from San Francisco and close to the wine country. Fabulous hiking trailheads begin right here.
Enjoy an artist's home in a park-like setting in the Redwoods with sun in the backyard, 2 blocks from the historic town of Larkspur. It is a 15-minute drive to San Francisco with public transportation down the street. Also close to the ferry that takes you to San Francisco. Larkspur is a friendly and beautiful place to visit. The wine country is an easy day trip.
The house is a cozy comfortable two-bedrooms, one bathroom with a downstairs gallery filled with artwork. It is a shared bathroom. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, empty closet and dresser for your use. A nice patio garden right off the dining area is wonderful for relaxing in the sun, reading and having an outdoor meal. You have access to the barbeque and kitchen. I will supply you coffee or tea but ask that you bring your own food in. Or walk into town to one of the many fine restaurants or happy hour offerings. We are all excited about a new place that has opened right down the street called Perry's, a restaurant from San Francisco. We also have a movie theater in town that shows independent and mainstream films. Town is a block from my house. And hiking trails are just a few blocks in the other direction. There are also good bike paths to be enjoyed.

My art studio is here on the property in the backyard. I will be in and out during your stay but you will have all the privacy you need. I have a folder of brochures, maps and books on things you can do in the Bay Area. I am an active member of Friends of Mt. Tam, which is a hiking group. There are free hikes every Saturday and Sunday with friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. There is lots of great music in many of the local venues and some theater. I can fill you in on a lot of what is happening on the visual art scene. Hope to meet you one day to enjoy this very special place. We will be sharing the bathroom.
The house should be left the way it was found. Don't need to make the bed on the way out. All dishes could be left in the dishwasher or put away. Please do not leave dishes in the sink.
Lock all doors and windows, place keys in the mail slot in the garage door. No smoking and no noise after 10 PM in the backyard.
I am friendly and love to meet new people. I am becoming more of a globetrotter traveling as much as I can in my time off from teaching. When I am not doing that I am home enjoying all the wonderful activities of the Bay Area, one of my favorite activities is hiking. Marin is a hikers paradise. Also if you love the water you can kayak, paddle board and sail. For runners and bikers this has to be one of the rare gems in the world. And I live in the gateway to all of this. In addition there is all the diversity of cultural events and venues that also keep me very entertained. Listening to local or national bands is possible in Marin or San Francisco. There are also wonderful places for music to kick up your heels and enjoy an evening of dancing. I love going into San Francisco for all types of inspiration which I find at the museums, symphony, opera, sporting events, lectures, etc..
