À propos de ce logement
Next door to Guinness Brewery and a short walking distance to all major Dublin attractions. I have two rooms. One has a double bed and the other has a double bed and a single bed. It's a 4-day minimum stay and better rates for longer periods.
The Airlink Bus from the airport takes you to Christchurch Cathedral – very close to my house.
Like most houses in the area, it was built about 150 years ago. So, it is a typical red-brick, 2 up 2 down house, except that I have a large garden :-)
My house has been extensively renovated in 2014 but it still retains the old-world, lived-in feel.
Accès des voyageurs
Except for my bedroom, they can feel free to my house - the garden, kitchen, bathroom - and they can even watch TV if they've had enough sightseeing.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I am based at home so I am in the house most of the time. It is up to the guests how much interaction they want with me.
I like meeting new and different people and have no problem being available for chatting and communicating.
As I said in my profile, I'm a former History teacher and English teacher so, if you wish, I can take you on a walking tour and introduce you to the area ... from Guinness Brewery, to St. Patrick's and Christchurch Cathedrals and then down Dame Street, which traditionally was the economic, civil, military, educational and political centre of the entire country.
NOTE : When I first came to live in this area, I thought I would never get used to the smell that permeates this area because of the fermentation of Guinness - which is next door (I’m told it’s the hops). But I did and now I love it. So the ‘odour’ that some guests experience is not from my house or any other house. It is from Guinness. I have asked Guinness to stop production to please my more sensitive guests but, tragically, they declined :-)
NOTE : This is not an apartment or a house your are renting. You are renting a room in my house. I rent two rooms in my house. And I live here also.
NOTE : A taxi from the airport should not cost over 30 euro.
There are taxi men operating from the airport who charge too much and give wrong information to cheat guests.
If this happens to you, wait till you meet me and inform me before you pay the taxi.
NOTE : I do not have an electric shower because it uses mains water and would, therefore, be weak. My hot water system uses water from the tank in the attic - so the water jet for the shower is strong. This means heating the water before having a shower. I will show you how this works.
NOTE : The room is not en-suite. There is a shared bathroom.
1. Guests cannot invite strangers in without me knowing about it or make noise late at night.
2. Guests rent a room and not my house. So please leave the living areas - Bathroom, Living room and Kitchen tidy and free of personal items.

Extensively traveled. I've lived almost everywhere. (Well, nearly almost everywhere :-)
Generally, I live a quiet life of creative writing and composing music.
I have a website containing my writings and my recorded songs and this website is constantly being updated.
