Two separate bedrooms with queen size beds in tastefully furnished home in the green, safe up-scale neighborhood of Kileleshwa, Nairobi. Wireless internet and AMAZING views directly facing the stunning Aboretum. Walk 300m to small shopping center!

The home is furnished with the traditional handcrafted artisan one of a kind furniture. Each room sleeps two persons. 49 dollars per room. If you take both rooms we offer a discount and you pay 85 dollars. You will share the home with myself or guests occupying the other room if you only book one bedroom.

You have full access to the the rooftop terrace and the balcony, and the well equipped kitchen and the bathroom. Towels and sheets are provided free of charge.

If I am in Nairobi I will be happy to connect you to safe and cheap transport as well as what to see and where to go - both the amazing nature in and around Nairobi and the night life! If you prefer privacy then you just let me know.

The neighborhood is wonderful for morning jogging with tree lined small streets and beautiful people working from fruit stands and kiosks. You access the famous Aboretum for jogging, meditation or play with children just a few hundred meters from our home. The Aboretum has free drumming sessions on Sundays at 3 p.m.

It is easy to reach anywhere in Nairobi from Kileleswha which is very centrally located in Nairobi - Matatus leave right outside the gate all the time. DOwn town is reached in ten minutes. Taxi's are parked outside the gate and I also have a list of personal drivers with fair rates. You can walk to down-town in 30 minutes, or bike on the newly established bike lanes reaching the Yaya Center and Westlands within minutes.

If you are lucky you get to meet the monkeys and the rare birds that inhabit the trees right next to the balcony. They are all very friendly and I hope you are too!

Just take that Apartment! My girlfriend and I stayed there for almost 3 months and I can't picture any other place where we would have enjoyed our stay as much as we did there. Vibeke was always a super welcoming and warmhearted host, and always available for our questions, whether she was in Kenya or in Denmark. You'll be living in a very quiet and safe area with a stunning view over the Nairobi Arboretum right from your balcony. You have a small shopping center a 3 minutes walk away to get everything you need. A matatu stop to get you to town is there, as well. Thank you so much Vibeke for an awesome time! Lots of Love and see you soon!

Prior to arrival Vibeke was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The apartment is in a safe area, with handy local shops and the arboretum close by. The walk into central Nairobi was not too long either. The best aspect of the apartment are its views over the arboretum. For myself and the children, it made us feel we had "arrived" in Africa. On the downside, the toilet was not clean and not fully functional and similarly the towels were not all clean. There's a notice asking you to clean the towels and sheets at the end of the stay, which I assume means that cleaning is reliant on the previous guests. With no washing machine to hand, I suspect this is challenging. This contrasts, with my experience of other modestly priced accommodation in Kenya which generally was very clean. My suggestion is that the toilet is replaced and the towels and bedding are always cleaned before guests arrive. If this was done, I would recommend this apartment.

Hi Andrew ! The toilet has been replaced and very sorry to hear you did not find the towels clean - i have not experienced this problem for the past three years. The note you mention is a three year old note for friends - i have taken it Down now as i pay a lot for the washing

Vibeke was very quick to respond to any queries we had, despite not being on site in Nairobi. We arrived on a very early morning flight and she arranged for a neighbour to pick us up and drop us to the apartment. The apartment is in a great location outside the hustle and bustle of the city, with fruit & veg stalls just outside the gate and a short walk to the local shops. Its well equipped and very comfortable with wifi access and a veranda overlooking the arboretum.

Vibeke was an incredibly responsive and warm host. Most hotel and B&B accommodation in Nairobi stinks and is expensive, so this flat was a charming and affordable exception. Pros: It's really spacious, the beds are comfortable, the view of the Arboretum is WONDERFUL, convenient central location, reliable wifi, great host. Cons: The bathroom isn't great, and if you have mobility issues the stairs are VERY high (5+ flights) and there's no elevator. But I'd definitely stay here again.

Vibeke was such a pleasure to communicate with from the very beginning. Her place looked so lovely, which is why I was very sad to have to cancel my stay due to some unforeseen events. It will surely be my preferred place to stay next time I am in Nairobi!
