À propos de ce logement
Sumptuous, aristocratic, full of classic charm... all this and more describes this superb four-bedroom home located in one of the most exclusive and central residential areas of Seville. Looking for a home with a heart? This is it.
Prado de San Sebastián is an exclusive residential neighbourhood in the city centre, close to the Maria Luisa Park and the gardens from which the area takes its name. It is only a few minutes’ walk from both the historical centre and the Nervión financial district, and has excellent bus, tram and metro connections with the rest of Seville’s metropolitan area (Sevilla-Aljarafe). And it is literally a stroll away from the Prado de San Sebastián bus station, which connects the city with the rest of the province.
Essentially, this property combines proximity to the historical city centre and its most prominent architectural landmarks, with the privacy, security, amenities and open spaces inherent to a residential neighbourhood, making it the perfect retreat for the most discerning traveller. But its characteristics also make it a location of choice for those needing to relocate to Seville for longer periods of time for reasons of work, whether on their own or with the family, a pied-à-terre from which to enjoy all that Seville has to offer without distance being an issue.
The property itself is an excellent example of classic Seville elegance. It is a spacious apartment of exquisite and decidedly romantic design, which is both expressive and aristocratic but has that perfect timeless “touch” that will never go out of fashion. The interior décor builds on the property’s strengths (space, orientation, bright natural light), whilst the distribution makes the most of each and every corner of the apartment, providing a relaxed, serene and sophisticated environment.
The property is divided into two distinct areas: the living area, with a large living-cum-dining room; and the sleeping area, with four bedrooms which can easily accommodate seven guests in total privacy and comfort.
Just off the hall is the heart of the house: a large and elegant living and dining room bathed in natural light. This space is divided into a living area, a dining area and a reading area with large windows that allows natural light into the whole room. The French-inspired décor is a tribute to the classical influences of the 19th century, and is boosted by family heirlooms which take on a new lease of life. The result is a setting which invites quiet enjoyment: a relaxing pastel colour scheme which enhances the room’s brightness and affords warmth, with a hessian fitted carpet and comfortable sofas and easy chairs. The textiles, the floral prints, the classical furniture, the paintings which hang on the walls and the art deco fireplace add to the quiet and somewhat rural atmosphere, conducive to sharing long evenings in its midst. The large dining table, made of solid wood and accommodating up to 8 guests, provides the stately touch, tempered by the pretty chairs of the same olive-grey stained wood as the bookcases on either side of the fireplace.
Across the hallway are the rest of the rooms in the house. The Provencal-style kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with white goods and appliances and a very convenient breakfast table.
The four bedrooms all afford the same air of elegance and serenity as the rest of the house. Light, space and refinement compete for prominence, to ensure that guests will have a quiet and peaceful stay.
The master bedroom invites relaxation. Tastefully decorated in soothing tones, the headboard and valance of the king-size bed are made of blue-patterned tulle matching the curtains which dress the large windows. The hessian fitted carpet and the solid wood furniture provide sophistication and warmth, and the built-in wardrobes offer plenty of storage solutions. A full en-suite bathroom affords privacy and convenience, and here also textiles play a prominent role, with the walls, ceiling and even the bath enclosure being lined with a traditional indigo-blue floral print in tulle, to striking and unexpected effect.
The second bedroom has two double beds and is decorated in the same romantic but sedate pastel shades, with an ethnic rug affording a splash of colour. Here again there are classical pieces of furniture, some of them family heirlooms. Next to the bedroom is the second full bathroom.
The third bedroom is fitted with two wooden twin beds and a wooden desk, with coordinating linens, whilst the fourth bedroom has a single bed. Both rooms can make use of the third full bathroom.
The attention to detail and high quality throughout, including the fitted carpet, wooden floors, marble tops and wooden fixtures, live up to Seville’s classic conception of luxury. And all of this is literally on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful areas of the city which saw the birth of the poet and writer Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer: the Maria Luisa Park, the Prado gardens, the Barrio de Santa Cruz and the Guadalquivir river, to name but a few; and just a few minutes’ walk, or a metro stop away, from its historical centre.

Our small agency was created by two people: Karin Wallis, half English and half Swedish has lived most of her life in Madrid and Nono de Barco, 100% Sevillano down to the marrow, has lived in Seville all of his life. We created the agency as we wish to do something different: take peoples charming homes and transform them into rentals, keeping the magic and charm the owners created when they built their home but at the same time making it comfortable and adequate for our clients such as giving them plenty of empty cupboard space, ensuring the only food in the fridge is the one of our welcome hamper and making sure everything is working correctly and is sparkling clean so that when you arrive, the property will feel like instant home to you too. There are no two properties alike, nor are there two guest exactly alike but we do trust we will have the right home for you.
