Description

A Roman villa inspired retreat. Situated in a quiet valley close to town. The property borders the Sayulita arroyo. A little creek that winds down from the hills east of Sayulia and empties into the Pacific. Forming the reef on the beach and the surf breaks. The views from the property are of the lush jungle covered hills that make this valley.

My space is different from the places in town in that it is always quiet here.
My house is only a few min. from town and the beach, so you can enjoy Sayulita, and relax in a serene quiet setting as well.

Guests will be sharing my house with me during their stay. There is a large pool, a shaded table for dining outside on the deck. A kitchen with microwave, fridge, blender, etc. Guests will also have access to a cloths washer/dryer.

I enjoy meeting new people, having a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. However I also respect peoples privacy.
My house is located away from the noise of Sayulita yet close enough for easy access to the beach or the great restaurants and cafes that Sayulita has to offer. We live on a rise overlooking the creek that runs through Sayulita. You can go for walks up the creek or the road. My dogs would love to go with you if you like. Or, you can lay on the hammock by the pool and read a book or just listen to the sound of the creek and the birds in the trees.
Getting to Sayulita from the Puerto Vallarta airport is easy and inexpensive if you take the bus. When exiting the airport go to your left and walk across the overhead walkway crossing the highway. On the other side, just a few feet from the walkway is the bus stop. Buses to Sayulita arrive every half hour. The bus is white and green and is marked Sayulita on the front window. Cost is about 30 pesos. I can pick you up from the bus station in Sayulita when you arrive. Please coordinate that with me when booking.
Taxis are also available on that side of the highway and are cheaper than the taxis in the airport. About 700 pesos.
In Sayulita there are taxis available by the square and by the bridge. There is a golf cart for rent at my house as well, or you can walk into town in about 20 min and take a taxi back for about 80 pesos.
Our house is an open concept design with a large pool and a deck overlooking the little creek and the jungle covered hills.
I do not allow smoking on my property at all, so if you are a smoker please be aware that you will only be able to smoke in designated areas away from the house.
There are two dogs and two cats living here.

The pool, the outdoor kitchen/dining area, the living room, the bbq.

I am happy to offer any help or info about the area. I also respect peoples privacy.

This is a rural setting. Surrounded by jungle covered hills, next to a little creek. It's quiet and peaceful here yet very close to town and the beach. The area is very safe. There are no worries about walking to and from town at any time of day or night.

There are taxis in town, no local buses. Cost of a taxi to the property is about $4 USD. The bus to Puerto Vallarta leaves every 1/2 hr. till about 9 at night. There is also a golf cart for rent at the house.

Jose showed me around town and gave me some excellent recommendations for stuff to do and places to go. Introduced me to neighbors and locals in town.

No fue una experiencia grata, José no estuvo presente durante mi alojamiento además no nos brindaron servicio de limpieza y no especificó los objetos que no podíamos tomar. No aclaró que nos cobraría si se nos rompía algún artículo.

Réponse de Jose :
I have to agree with Karla, this was not a good experience. Karla broke a wine glass in my house and refused to pay for it. Airb&b covered the expense out of the damage deposit. My worst fear is that a guest will abuse my home and unfortunately the small damage deposit does not begin to cover the potential damage. This person obviously thinks my home is like a big hotel chain. I opened my home to you Karla and I have no restrictions on what you can use in my house. You violated that trust by not being a responsible adult as would be the case in anyone's home. I would never rent my space to this person again.

Hi. My name is Jose Alemany. I'm a retired Canadian of Spanish descent, living part time in Mexico. I enjoy meeting travelers and sharing travel experiences over a coffee or a glass of wine. I am new to airB&B but have hosted travelers through couchsurfing. Checkout my profile on couchsurfing. I am fairly relaxed about having people stay in my house.
