My house is located very conveniently for visiting downtown Winston-Salem, historic Old Salem (walking distance), and the hospitals and universities of the city. My 1927 craftsman bungalow provides comfort and warmth in a most cost-effective way.
I am offering a small, yet comfortable and affordable space. The bathroom is shared and is on a different floor - that is the biggest downside. But that factor is well balanced by the convenience of the location, the pleasantness of the surroundings, and your host's desire to have you feel welcomed in my home.

I live there and so will typically be around to answer questions or to provide suggestions. I have lived in Winston-Salem most of the last 40 years and know the city fairly well.
I expect you to be kind and to clean up after yourself if you use the kitchen. No smoking is allowed in the house. No pets allowed, although service animals are welcome.

I first learned of Airbnb while living in Bucharest, Romania for the 2012-2013 academic year. Great option for engaging in travel and meeting folks! I am a fulltime bookbinder, creating new books, repairing old ones, and teaching this craft. I used to be a professor and consultant in organizational behavior (the people side of business). I look to Airbnb as I continue to travel (mostly) in the US for a variety of craft and teaching venues. If you are interested in learning more of what I do, please visit:
I welcome the opportunity to share the arts and history of Winston-Salem with you when you visit.
