Hi, I am chill & low key when home & can help you map out how to get around the city. I am fun and respectful & have housed many on air bomb with much success!!

I look forward to meeting you! :)

Autres remarques

The $200 cleaning cost is for your move in & move out cleaning, washing bedding & maid service while you are here. If you need this amount to change we can discuss options. You take care of washing your own bedding during your stay.

You DO NOT PAY the security deposit. It is only shown on here by Airbnb because if there was damage then after your stay they would investigate and deem the appropriate amount out of the deposit if they feel it is correct. That amount is not taken from you. This is much better because typically in New York you would pay a security deposit and then get it back at the end of your stay, but this way you do not pay it at all unless there is a problem.

Loydeen is just the BEST host ever! I spent one month in her apartment. This is a young vibrant woman who introduced me full of trendy places in NYC. Regarding the apartment, it is very clean, 3 bedroom, a functional kitchen and a bathroom. Set high in the beautiful views. Only small snag, the apartment is on close to Harlem, so the street is not specially well frequented (many drug dealer). Enjoy ! :)

I had a very nice trip. Loyden is really cool and the room is everything I needed. Somewhere to sleep close to the street

I had a lovely stay at Loydeens place. The apartment is spacious with great views of the city. The bedroom is big and I had plenty of space to keep my things. There is 24 hour door service and I found the door staff very polite and friendly. The kitchen is a communal area and has everything you would need including a dishwasher. The same as the living room and the bathroom. Loydeen and her housemate (who I only came across briefly a couple of times over the month) kept the place clean and tidy in the absence of their maid. The closest Deli is literally next door and do amazing ice coffees and has lovely friendly staff. The nearest 24 hour supermarket is 5 minutes down the road. There are also plenty of other shops and deli's in the surrounding area. The area is up and coming and can feel a little unsafe for a woman on her own late at night but I walked from the underground to Loydeens place at all different times of the night and didn't encounter any major problems. I would just say be careful but again that is the same for most areas of New York if not the world. Loydeen was a lovely friendly host and took me to new places. One of them being Hill Song Church which is an amazing experience that everyone should try. She was also on hand with information about how to get places or where the good places were to go. One of my favourite things was that it was within walking distance of one of my favourite places...Central Park! Where I spent a lot of time. The transport links can get you to most places within about 20-30 minutes. If anyone is visiting New York Loydeens place is a great place to stay. I would certainly recommend it and hope to go back and visit in the future.

I am grateful to have had a place to live while figuring out NY. Loydeen wasn't home during my stay, therefore, 2 other travelers I lived with and the vibe was very comfortable living with them. The view of the city was nice (be careful no screen, don't lean out to far). I'd recommend taking a look at the apt before deciding, just to make sure the space you are renting and cleanliness is ok with you. Also, you would be able to get a feel of the building and the area in general. You should be fine, if you know how to carry yourself on the streets.positive note: the 125th 4,5,6 train is 3 blocks up, tremendous! There is no AC in any of the rooms, only in the living room, so hopefully you have a fan & thats sufficient for you. The room, I rented had someone else things in it that took half the closet space and the entire under the bed space. Broken, old dressers with someone else dirty things in them. So, make sure you take it all in account before you pay the price you might pay somewhere else for more space and cleaner bedskirts, bathrooms, building, laundry facilities, etc.. Parking is unmanageable, looking for hours in the middle of the night.. wracked up $800 worth of tickets because we can't park in the lot at the building because we are there illegally (so says the association). However, the front desk guys, not sure what they do really lol are VERY nice and helpful. Helping me move out and always asking about my wellbeing and living situation. Overall, wherever you are, be there fully and be grateful. But this was a stretch for me, as I've never lived like this before. Living with 3 people and one bathroom is also a situation but you get what you sign up for. Best of luck! Loydeen in general on the 2 days I saw her, seemed structured. ;) Thanks for having me and doing your best! May your days and travels be blessed and full of joy. ~April

Hey, You did see the place and got to meet me before moving in and even had time to think about it and get back to me. I had other inquiries, but you said you wanted it. I know you were well aware about sharing the space because we talked about how you were subletting someone else's bedroom (not just an apartment sublet), so that often in New York means you are temporarily taking over their room with their belongings still in there while they are away. If this is the case people clear space for you amongst their things like removing most of their clothes and giving you a section in the closet. In your case you had almost the entire hanging bar in the closet and you had a large closet. The shelf and under the bed was used for storage of the original tenant's things, so that you could use the closet. And YES, parking in New York is a nightmare...you are definitely right about that. It is an endless pain to have to move your car at different dates and times and look for parking each day. It is actually WAY better in my neigborhood than most in Manhattan, but I still wouldn't want to deal with it. And lol. The dresser is an antique dresser. Literally everyone who has stayed in that room prior to you has either come back, asked to come back and/or written me great things about it. I am sorry if you are not use to this type of very New York situation. Usually people who come temporarily do not bring as much stuff as you did until they have found their permanent place. I put mine in storage until I found the apartment I wanted long term and stopped subletting. We discussed this prior to your move-in. I did however try and accommodate you though I was away on vacation by saying you could move stuff around and put some in the living room, which you did, and I even spoke with AirBnb on a way to open up my calendar to rebook and then prorate and give you back the remainder of the refund, but you neer got back to me about wanting to do that. It was gonna take a lot of work on my end and I would be doing it from another state, but I was willing to go above and beyond and do that for you to help out. Most hosts would not have been willing or offered especially when you had accepted the conditions and the cancellation policy was listed in the original booking. Lastly, they do not need to bring a fan. Each room has a fan provided. The bedroom is not allowed an air conditioning unit to ben installed due to the type of window and regulations. I have tried and tried. You are welcome to run the AC in the living room and open your bedroom door though. I know things were a bit different since I was away, but I was always reachable and have had many love living in my pad. I LOVE it here as well. To each it's own. Best of luck on your new place and go in to see if you can get those parking tickets slashed in half because $800 is ridiculous. I hope something can be done about that. Thank you for staying and I hope your new New York life is full of adventure, fun, learning and solid connections with amazing people. Peace and Blessings, - Loydeen
