Our beautifully appointed one bedroom with a view of the park and with lots of natural light is truly a sanctuary! It contains a French antique bed, large California closet, a sofa, and a table that can be used as a desk, or vanity table.
The beautifully appointed space is comprised of a 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo with dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, an eat-in kitchen, and hardwood floors. When you enter the space, you are immediately reminded of walking into a gallery.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to amenities such as washer/dryer, and entire kitchen.
Parking access: Regarding parking, a permit is required in the town of North Bergen. For daily use, or short term stays, the cost of a visitor's permit is $2/day. For long term stays, it's $30/month. You can settle this minor charge with me via Square, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), or your bank's "Send Money" option. If you don't need a receipt for tax purposes, cash works fine as well. The way it works is that I buy the permit that supports the number of days of your stay, and you hang that permit in your car's rear view mirror.

Minimal interaction with guests, particularly on the weekend, as the host has a super busy schedule. However, I am just a phone call or text away, and I will respond promptly.
Our home is within walking distance to eateries that support the international culture that makes up North Bergen. Take a stroll along Broadway or Palisades/Bergenline, and sample the flavor of the culture.
If you are open to biking (you may borrow one of the 2 bikes we have), you can travel along Boulevard East, and eat along the walkway, take in the beautiful New York skyline, or travel down the hill to the water's edge, and sample the variety of restaurants that feature the popular American culinary flavors.

Because we can agree to create a harmonious environment together, as we are both living in "our" home, I will create with you the distinction of harmony...
Harmony 1: My grandmother used to spot clean daily, and do a thorough cleaning every Saturday. Though I don't suggest cleaning every Saturday, I do suggest taking a cloth with cleaning solution to wipe down surfaces that you use. Because our quarters are close, I would like for you to spot clean your areas that you touch or use immediately after use.
Harmony 2: Power clean the tub, basin, toilet after every shower use: the cleaning supplies are located in the washroom. Simply take 5-10 minutes after you shower and complete your regimen, don the rubber gloves, and clean the tub, basin, and wipe down the toilet and floor. There's nothing like a sparkling washroom on a continual basis!
Harmony 3: Power clean the stove, countertops, and keep the sink free from soiled dishes or food particles after every cooking or food prep event. The cleaning supplies are located under the kitchen sink. Simply take 5-10 minutes after you cook or while you are cooking and complete your regimen, don the rubber gloves, and clean kitchen sink, counter tops, stove top, floor (if you are a messy food prep chef), and fridge (if you are prone to spills). There's nothing like a neat & tidy kitchen on a continual basis!
Harmony 4: Communicate communicate communicate all that is on your mind. Though you are a guest, you do have the right to voice your needs. Let's be sure we establish times we should confer about matters of business, or just shoot me a text. If I'm not teaching, I will respond immediately.
Harmony 5: If you use the last of something and it's a common area item we share, such as toilet paper, let me know right away. There are times where I'm super busy and I'm on auto pilot. Just shoot me a reminder if we are on the last roll...
Harmony 6: Please, no wild parties or overnight guests. The walls are thin...
Harmony 7: Feel free to create a warm & inviting atmosphere during your stay: bring in fresh flowers, potpourri, a plant or 2, a scented candle, and even incense, if you so desire.
I love to teach and spend a great deal of time creating lessons and learning environments to enable all scholars, regardless of their learning challenge, to learn. I believe in humanity and having an altruistic way of being. I root for the underdog, generally. My style for Airbnb hosting is to host someone who is easy going, neat, private, and respects the environment, particularly the living environment.
