Nino initially asked for a discount for a month's stay which I offered at a very decent rate. He then changed it to a 3 week stay & still expected the discount which by now Airbnb had calculated at the monthly rate. He stayed for less than half the daily rate!!!
I informed Nino that we would not be around for his arrival as we were traveling on an extensive holiday in Europe. I advertised that wifi would be available on request. He only requested wifi a few days prior to his arrival & by then it was too late to organise so I gave him advice as to how to go about it. We have had endless problems with the service provider so for that I apologise.
As for the state in which he left the place! That was inexcusable.
Every other guest has had the decency to leave our home in a neat manner. He says he would leave a hotel room in the same way.
I don't know anyone who would leave that kind of mess behind anywhere. Beard shavings in the basin, dirty tissues strewn everywhere, urine in the unflushed toilet, food crusted onto plates, pieces of food on beds & furniture, wet dirty towels on every possible surface, an overflowing rubbish bin inside where outside bins are provided, broken items, crumpled rugs, & the awful smell!
This is not a hotel! This is our family holiday HOME!
The cleaning staff had done a complete spring clean before he arrived.
As for asking for a one pager of information... there is a complete folder of information there.
He asked me about fresh towels & I responded immediately (they were all in a cupboard under the stairs & he managed to use & dirty every single one).
The guests who came in after Nino informed us that they had wonderful nights' sleep & absolutely love the place. I am sorry that he felt it was not good enough for him but when I see the way he left the place I am shocked! I suppose I should have asked for a deposit, That may have paid for the steam cleaning & breakages.
As you can see from other reviews, all other guests have been very happy.
