Our loft is a cosy, comfortable, private and beautiful space where you can feel far away from the city with the sound of birds, cows and the river to wake you in the morning.
Take a relaxing walk on the nearby beach which can be reached in 3-4 minutes' drive; visit a rainforest or the townships of Bellingen, Coffs Harbour or Urunga which are all only short drives away.
This character-filled Loft is a completely private space for two adults, accessed by stairs at the rear of a mud brick building. The bathroom is in a small hexagonal yurt at the rear of the building and is brand new.
The Loft has a queen sized bed, digital TV, DVD player, an electric fan, air-conditioning, radio, writing desk, a sofa, umbrellas and a small kitchen with a dining area downstairs.
Guests have access to the loft, their own bathroom, their own basic kitchen with bar fridge, double electric hotplate, pots and utensils, toaster, electric kettle and a dining area. There is also small private deck and there is easy parking. The Loft is situated in a quiet, no-through road next to the river and great fishing spots. WiFi is available on the host's verandah.
The Loft is located in a quiet, peaceful rural area and is incredibly green with abundant birdlife and tall trees. There are lovely views of the river and Bellinger Valley from the garden. The closest beach and cafe/shop/post office are only a few minutes drive away at Mylestom. There's a 15-20 minute drive to Bellingen, Urunga or Sawtell and 25 minutes to Coffs Harbour.
The hosts may be able to pick up guests from Urunga train station/bus terminal or from Coffs Airport by arrangement. There is a bus service. Catch buses from the end of the street to local towns. This is a great area for cycling. A car is the best way to get around.
The Loft is next to the Bellinger River and its Valley farms with a backdrop of the Dorrigo mountains. We are minutes to miles of unspoilt and often deserted beaches; Bellingen's cafes, craft shops and verandah-post buildings; Bellingen markets on the third Saturday of each month; Dorrigo National Park World Heritage Area Rainforest walks; the beautiful Never Never River picnic spots and swimming holes; Urunga where there's a lovely boardwalk over rivers and lagoon to the ocean. Coffs Harbour, 25 mins north, is a modern city with many shops, a hospital and amenities including cinemas, ten-pin bowling and a theatre.
There is an airport at Coffs Harbour with regular flights especially from Sydney. Trains and Greyhound buses stop at Urunga daily.
If you are travelling by car, the Pacific Highway is only 2 kilometres away.
There is a daily bus for schools during the week and a regular bus service to local towns. Use of a car is preferable.

We are happy to welcome our guests to make them feel at home. We are also available to help with suggestions for sightseeing and relaxing, including help with maps and directions.
I am a retired teacher-librarian. I was working part-time at two local primary schools until recently. My husband is also a recently retired teacher. We have lived in this beautiful place for 25 years and love it. Our children grew up here but have flown the nest. We love travelling and have used AirBnB in other countries. We also enjoy painting, reading, kayaking, bushwalking and walking our little dog Tess along the beach.
