Bright, amazing, fully furnished HOUSE in one Philly's best neighborhoods. Every room is recently remodeled. Extremely quiet street that is super close to all the action.
Stay in a place that feels like home!
This is a traditional Philadelphia row home but it is NOT a trinity (which is one room on each floor). That means that this home is much more functional. The living room and kitchen are on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs - along with large closets. Additionally, the washer and dryer are upstairs - no need to carry all your clothes down to an unfinished basement. The stairs are also full-sized (no spiral staircases here).
The home is also only connected to another home on one wall - and it's the stairwell. That means there are lots of large windows with great natural light, and no noisy neighbors above or below you like in an apartment!
There's a brand new queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and a beautiful, oversized shower in the remodeled bathroom.
The kitchen has granite countertops, a garbage disposal and brand new 42" cabinets that are fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, pots/pans, silverware, etc. It has a full-sized fridge, gas range, and full-sized oven, as well as a microwave, toaster oven, and dishwasher - everything you need to feel at home.
There is cable TV (in the living room and bedroom) as well as a Blu-Ray player in the living room, and extremely fast Wifi throughout the house. There is also Central Air & Heat.
Guests will have access to the entire home except for an owner's locked storage area.
The whole house will be yours to use, but I will be nearby and will have phone and email - so I can be reached if there are any problems.
This is an amazing neighborhood with lots of people out and about in the summer walking around. There are many parks, restaurants, and stores within a very short walk.
The house is only two blocks from a busy, popular area (South Street - which is amazing) but those two blocks make a big difference in the noise level. It's extremely quiet inside the house (it's also on a small, side street which helps even more).
One of the best things about Philadelphia is its walk-ability! My home is two blocks from South Street, which is home to amazing restaurants, bars and stores. There is a Rite Aid across the street for easy purchases, and a gym, two coffee shops, and bank right around the corner.
10-20 min walk: Independence Hall, Constitution Center, Old City (Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley and other historical Philadelphia sites), Italian Market, Reading Terminal, Riverfront, Rittenhouse Square
There are also many fantastic restaurants right in the neighborhood and in adjacent Old City (many of them are on top restaurants lists in the city AND in the entire country). I'm happy to give recommendations!
If you're not a walker, there are buses right on South Street (as well as an infinite number of taxis).
Philadelphia also has a BikeShare program - and there are two locations each just a 5 minute walk away. It's an excellent way to explore the city!
This is my home - so I expect you to treat it like you would your own home!
Please also be respectful of the neighbors and the neighborhood. This is a great community with very nice and helpful people who really look out for each other.
Absolutely, positively NO SMOKING - and unfortunately, no pets.
