À propos de ce logement
Discover all that Portland has to offer while staying in our delightful Sellwood condo. Inviting, clean, and well appointed, it is convenient to all the city’s activities. Whether you want a romantic week(end) away or city nightlife, our home awaits!
Fun, Comfortable Sanctuary in the Center of Sellwood!
One of our favorite comments from a past guest calls our decorating style “a more hip and fun version” of home.
We love that because we do strive to offer a stylish and comfortable place in southeast Portland, stocked with everything you have at your own house (linens, cooking supplies, baby gear, beach gear, books, games, toiletries, laundry detergent—you name it)…but with something a little extra to make it a true getaway.
SO, WHAT’S THE “EXTRA”?
First, our 2-bedroom, 1-bath condo is right in the center of one of Portland’s most idyllic neighborhoods: Sellwood. Tree-shaded streets, eclectic architecture (everything from Victorian houses to Craftsman bungalows) and a vibrant business district characterize this place. You’ll love it!
Wake up and take a few steps to Either/Or Café—a quintessential Portland coffee shop with locally roasted coffee, work-of-art espresso drinks, and artisan pastries.
Nearby, on 13th Street, find one of Portland’s best shopping districts, plus its best organic grocery chain (yep, we have multiple organic grocer chains…that’s Portland!). Pick up a quirky antique, a one-of-a-kind accessory from an indie shop, and some fresh ingredients for dinner. Then stroll back home.
We’re one of maybe two vacation rentals in Sellwood with a location this easily accessible to everything. That’s why we chose this place in particular for our vacation home (we stay here, too, whenever we can!). Even downtown Portland—including the Pearl District, Powell’s Books and more—is easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Inside, our condo is spacious, colorful and open, with great flow between rooms. We decorated with modern furniture and interesting things we collected on our travels in the US and abroad. But we’re careful not to make it feel like “our” home—while you’re here, it’s “your” home.
The two bedrooms include one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and one bedroom with two twins that can be combined into a king upon request.
Many of our guests stay in our condo while visiting family in Portland. Give them a break from hosting and invite them over for an excellent dinner in your own space!
The dining table, which expands to seat 8, leads right into the stainless steel kitchen to make entertaining easy. If you’re the culinary type, we have nearly every utensil, pot, or pan you can imagine—and if there’s anything we overlooked, let us know and we’ll do our best to get it for you.
After dinner, make like a resident and head out to the front porch with coffee or wine, and watch and wave as people stroll by with their families and dogs.
Lastly, and most importantly, while you’re here, you can think of us as your personal travel guides. We know and love Portland, and will happily tell you about the best places to eat, drink, explore, be active, and relax.
Get in touch with us today to talk about having a one-of-a-kind trip in one of Portland’s best neighborhoods. Even if you don’t end up booking with us, we’d be happy to share some of Portland’s secrets!

Our guests are why we do this! We love interacting with guests and rely on email A LOT, but our toll free numb) leads direct to my cell phone, which I answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Sellwood-Moreland is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Portland and Everything is 5 minutes away from the condo. New Seasons (Portland's premier organic market) is one block up and around the corner. No less than 3 coffee shops are also within 10 minutes from the Condo, as are numerous restaurants, a great wine shop (the Portland Bottle Shop) as well as great shopping.
If you like the outdoors, then you can launch your kayak on the river at the Sellwood Riverfront park which is also just 5 minutes away. Regardless of whether you like to hike or bike, the Springwater Corridor is just at the west end of Umatilla and provides miles of hiking and biking pleasure.
Portland is a leader in public transit and the bus stop for the 70 bus is right outside our door! In the fall of 2015, the well known MAX will be a short walk from the condo.

Hello! We are Lisa, Lori and John, the lucky owners of The Perfect Place in Sellwood. We began visiting Portland on a regular basis in 2003 when our relatives moved here. We fell in love with the city and specifically, Sellwood. We have had great fun preparing the condo for our guests and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
We chose this neighborhood and condo due to the Walk-ability! We absolutely love that we are 54 steps (yes we counted them) to Either/Or Coffee and few hundred more steps to everything else that Sellwood-Moreland has to offer! Five minutes to Grand Central Bakery, Jade Cafe, or the Food Carts at 13th and Lexington as well as the Antique shops! If we feel like spending time outdoors, that same five minutes take us to the Spring Water Corridor which is a beautiful walk through wetlands, buttes, agricultural fields and pastures. Ten minutes of walking take us to the Sellwood Riverfront park for canoeing and a picnic. Finally, if we need to get down town, we just 25 steps to 13th and catch the #70 bus to Division, change to the #4 bus and we are there!
