My 2 friends and I had a great time here! Cute rooms and great hosts with gorgeous mountains as a backdrop. The home was not walkable from the xincheng train station or the gorge entrance, but the host took us to get mopeds and provided additional transportation when we needed. Breakfast was provided for one day, which was delicious! They were very knowledgable about the tourist spots and Taroko gorge hikes. One thing we weren't told: the subtropical climate means it will rain most days during the afternoons! Bring raincoats to stay dry. Also, just note that the hosts speak limited english.
