À propos de ce logement
Second floor studio apartment in two story home in the heart of Bloomington. Space is entirely self-sufficient with private entrance. Three blocks from Bryan Park, this peaceful neighborhood of Elm Heights is within short walking distance of downtown and campus.
The space i am offering is newly constructed and full of art (some that i make out of concrete and some by other talented folks) and vintage/modern decor. It is a very comfortable space.
I live downstairs and am usually available to troubleshoot or just give advice if you want.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to the entire second floor. There is a nice fenced backyard with a firepit as well. There are occasionally musicians playing around it, and you are free to join in or just listen if you are so inclined.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
The space is separate from the rest of the home so interaction can be as little as me giving you the keys. But I'm never opposed to getting to know new people. Most of my best Airbnb experiences have involved at least a bit of chatting with my hosts. If you need anything you will have my number and i expect to receive calls.
Elm Heights occupies the sweet spot of central Bloomington. It is so close to so much, yet still manages to be very quite and peaceful. The neighborhood is a nice mix of mostly single families and some college students.
There are two grocery stores about 7 blocks away (SaharaMart is an alternative grocery store focusing on local/ethnic/organic foodstuffs. And Kroger is a bigger and less expensive standard grocery). Both are an easy walk just down 2nd street.
Bryan Park (with tennis courts, swimming pool, ball diamonds, jungle gyms, running track, volleyball/basketball courts, etc.) is about 3 blocks south. In the summertime you may encounter anything from "Music in the Park" to "The annual New Belgium Brewing's Clips Beer and Film Tour" there.
All the action of downtown, which includes the many ethnic restaurants on 4th Street and the Kirkwood Village as well as the downtown square) are only about 6-7 blocks north.
Bus: The bus station is 8 blocks away on the corner of walnut and 3rd street.
Bike: We have a bicycle that you are free to use.
Free parking and use of washer and dryer.
Please respect the property. I have worked very hard to make it what it is today.

I am a mellow kind of guy. In a few words i would say i'm patient, resourceful and self motivated. I love exploring and all the new experiences that come along with it; meeting new people, broadening my understanding of the world, etc. I love to eat. If i had my dream job it would probably be similar to that of that Anthony Bourdain fella who travels the world eating weird things.
I am interested in doing short-term house swapping.
