A friendly home on the edge of the Ayrshire countryside with beautiful pastoral-views & garden. Close to the historic Loudoun Hill where William Wallace fought a battle. A perfect base to relax or explore Ayrshire, 10 mins from Kilmarnock. 30 mins from Glasgow or Ayr or Troon, 60 to Edinburgh.
Relaxed spacious home with private garden with great country views. Our house is in a quiet village, we are on the fringe of the village on the edge of the country side. With pastoral views from the back of the house often with sheep or bullocks in the field. We have a gorgeous summer house at the bottom of the garden by the stream which is lovely to read in or enjoy a glass of wine listening to the water.
Jeanette has a creative workshop which you are welcome to 'play' in. Jim is a chef and may be available to cook a Scottish meal for guests for a reasonable price.
The double bedroom has a TV and a little sitting area overlooking the garden and farmers fields.
The single room listed as 'A Warm welcome 2 in Ayrshire' has an additional pull out bed that would suit a child.

My husband and I enjoy meeting people and learning about others cultures. I am a Lead Occupational Therapist and Jim is a chef. In 2015 we had a travel sabbatical and Airbandb was a great experience so we came home and started hosting our own guests.
Our faith and our friendships are important to us. We have an open home and enjoy sharing it and friends regularly drop by or share food with us. We enjoy reading together, or Jim reads to me while I fall asleep!
We have hosted people from many countries bringing other worlds, cultures and stories which enrich our lives.
