I am sorry you had such a bad experience.
Yes, my home is not perfect. There is always things to fix or upgrade.
The furniture is used as it is not something that hurts me if it gets ruined by tenants.
The floor is painted concrete with throw rugs; easy to clean and forgiving of spills. No different in temperature than a tile floor.
Having many roommates sharing the same space makes it difficult to keep everyone on the same page such as "Clean up after yourself"
"Thanks for keeping the bathroom clean for everyone to use"
"No laundry use after 9pm"
and in the Kitchen:
"Clean up after yourself "
"Trash goes out on Wed. night"
I don't understand how you were offended by those.
I supply microwave, fridge and plates, glasses utensils in your room for you to use as you wish. I don't worry if some break of get lost.
If everyone used all of my things in the kitchen it would be a disaster. As you saw, many can not follow the rules to share and care for the community spaces as it is.
My things would all be broken or lost by now if everyone used my dishes glasses and silverware .
I made it clear when you moved in that I allowed the use of cooking pots and pans and utensils and the use of the kitchen table to eat at whenever you wanted.
As far as dust- Did you ever use any cleaning products in your room or use the vacuum that I supplied for you to use or wash the towels and linens that I supplied?
And bugs....well they do get in the house on occasion but you will find that in our area you will never see many bugs at all. Spiders are a common pest that infiltrate everyone's home.
There is no paneling in my house so I'm not sure what you are referring to.
I heard few complaints from you while you were here so this frustrating to hear now. I don't know what you mean when you say I deflected your concerns. Someone's alarm kept going off, misplaced dishes they are in my texts you left me but nothing else until you left.
Maybe you will walk in my shoes as a host sometime and experience allowing strangers with different customs to live in your home and see through those eyes.
Best wishes to you.
