Our home is a Victorian shotgun camelback double built in 1861. Somewhere down the line it was converted into a 4-plex but it still retains many of the architectural flourishes that make New Orleans homes so charming. This apartment is approximately 800 sq ft and can comfortably sleep 3 people. The neighborhood is very walk-able and we're just over a block from the streetcar.

This lovely one bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a private entrance is perfect for a romantic getaway. Enormous pocket doors, high ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the porch are just a few of the architectural details to delight the eye. The newly renovated kitchen is ready for those nights you want to stay in. The living room is large and comfortable with satellite TV, WiFi and a convertible sofa bed. The bedroom has a super comfy memory foam queen size bed. Bathroom access is through the bedroom so it is more suited for a couple or a small family. The apartment sleeps up to 3 people. High quality linens and towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer on the premises, shared between three rental units.

The apartment is completely private. My husband and I live in another unit in back of the house and are available if you have need. We respect your privacy but are also happy to answer questions and give recommendations if you like.

Special Events such as Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, Essence Festival, etc., have different rates and some may require stays longer than 3 nights. During Special Events the price for an extra guest is $50 per night, which will not be reflected in Airbnb's initial quote. Please contact me for pricing/minimum stays during Special Events.

Please keep in mind that this is a residential neighborhood. Please respect our neighbors and keep the noise levels down, especially between the hours of 9 pm to 9 am.
People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Day guests are limited to 3 people.
Parties and/or drugs are NOT allowed.
If Guests do not abide by the rules, all rental fees will be forfeit and the Guest party will be required to leave the premises immediately.
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move the furniture.
Only use appliances for their intended uses.
Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please dispose of accumulated trash in the garbage bins at the front of the property. Please wash dishes and wipe down kitchen surfaces regularly. If you like, we will be happy to arrange for housekeeping services during your stay at the Housekeeper's going rate.
The fireplaces are not operational.
Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged damages.
