Perfect private getaway for you to get the most out of the city. Shower only, no tub.

We are a great place for Runners/Joggers because we are so close to St. Charles, where you can run along the streetcar line on dirt. Foodies and shoppers will love that they are 8 blocks away from Magazine Street. (website hidden)

We are three blocks away from the St. Charles, and 2 miles from Canal Street. You have easy access to the St. Charles Streetcar line (there's a stop 3 blocks away), so its easy to get around.

We are great location during Mardi Gras. You can catch the uptown Mardi Gras Parades, or wait for those Mardi Gras Indians to pass by the house on Mardi Gras day.

You're minutes away from Commander's Palace, Magazine Street, old cemeteries and the rest of the Garden District, the best of all you can walk there if you want.

We are 2 miles from the French Quarter. Walking distance to public transit, 8 blocks to local shopping and eats on Magazine Street*** We are great location during Mardi Gras. You can catch the uptown Mardi Gras Parades, or wait for those Mardi Gras Indians to pass by the house on Mardi Gras day.

You can also wait on the porch to catch the Second Line parades.

You're minutes away from Commander's Palace, Magazine Street, old cemeteries and the rest of the Garden District, the best of all you can walk there if you want.

The house is in an urban environment, so you may hear sirens, other commotion, or the occasional brass band playing in a second line down the street. We are also a mini-urban farm. We have chickens, ducks and 2 dogs. To be very honest, we are also in a transition area where it seems more "hood" so you will be investing into the comeback of this neighborhood if you book with us. I feel 100% safe here and believe that you will feel the same.

We can provide you with some earplugs if needed, or a fan to drown out the sounds with ambient noise.

The street car is 3 blocks away at St. Charles. There's also convenient access to the bus system within a 10 minute walk.

Taxi from the airport is $35. 2 miles to the French Quarter. Easy access to interstate. Walk to local shops and eats on Magazine Street.

We have a few house rules for everyone's sanity, and safety including our animals.
1) When you enter or exit gates, be sure to latch them shut. We don't want our doggies getting outside the fence when they get let out.
2) We work full-time, so please be quiet/respectful when coming home late.
3) Don't bring guests, lovers, or strangers over to the house.
4) Be sure to lock doors when you leave and come home, even if only for a few minutes.
6) Please be respectful of our neighbors.
7) No drugs or excessive drinking and no smoking in or around the house.
8) It would be great if you would take off your shoes just after you enter the space, that would be amazing. It will just save the floors in the long run.

Michael is a great host. He was responsive when I needed him to resolve a quick issue with the wifi. He fixed it within 5 minutes. The studio is 3 blocks from the street car to the French Quarter. Neighborhood is definitely up and coming but I was a solo female traveler who felt safe coming and going. Definitely recommend for your stay in NOLA.

The apartment was very clean, equipments & furnitures are like new. We have been welcome by Michael who is living next door and he was very responsive whenever we had a question. We could park in front of the apartment. Good location to visit (by car or street car) Sophie & Jean-Luc

I currently have 2 dogs, I like to be the urban farmer type but find it hard to manage that with the rest of life.

I love to be out in nature. Crabbing is one thing that we think everyone will enjoy here in New Orleans if you can get out there.

I moved here to love on people and figure out ways to impact hurting communities.

As a traveler I am probably the worst tourist since I really enjoy being in the woods to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. When I do travel to places I like to try to understand what it is like for locals, and I like to find awesome restaurants.

As my guest you will probably be first greeted by barks from my dogs that sound scary but are friendly and playful. I have two spaces listed on Airbnb, and I try to set it up where you can manage everything on your own, even checking in.
