Would stay again and refer to a friend. The place looked just like the picture. LeKedra was nice enough to meet us at 2am to check in. She had great communication and always responded back to my messages. She even allowed us to extend our check out time because we paid for Fri and didn't get there until Sat. The home smelled amazing and geeky like my home away from home.

The house was really nice and stocked with all of the necessities. LK met us at the house for check in and gave us a very thorough tour of the place. There are quite a few house rules posted everywhere which are also very thorough. We had a hard time getting an Uber /Cab downtown to take us to our pick us up from the neighborhood - in fact, a few Uber drivers cancelled on us when they saw where we going. While the stay was lovely and the house more than accommodated our crew of 8, there are no amenities or grocery stores nearby that can be walked to. I would recommend renting a car if you plan to get groceries. When we were leaving on Sunday, several of us had to wait for Ubers and cabs for a while longer than we expected, and the host showed up right at 10:59. Prior to that, she stopped by to drop off a bag- ringing the doorbell twice - not what we were expecting. Would have appreciated a little more space while we were getting things gathered up and cleaned up. (Since we had to scrub the bathrooms prior to leaving per the house rules) Overall, the house was really great and homey- good amount of space for a large group.

Réponse de Le'Kedra :
Lauren, thank you kindly for your stay. However, I'm completely confused by your review. I apologize for any inconveniences. Per the listing, I list the amenities near the house. There's a small grocer across the main street for basics. I returned home at 10 AM because when you all checked in, you said you were checking out at 10 AM. Therefore, I didn't anticipate you still being at the house and if so, I thought it to be an opportunity to thank you again for your stay. My returning home, wasn't to be an inconvenience. (as I noticed you had more guests than you booked). I immediately dropped my bag, apologized to your guests and left the home so you all could gather yourself to depart. Upon my return, you apologized for being in the shower when I stopped by the 1st time. You and your guests also left all of the used towels in the bath tub versus the labeled laundry hampers in each room. Was this an effort to demonstrate your disdain for the house considerations left for guests? We chatted several times over text and you commented, "We love it here and how the place was great" and you were making yourself at home, your willingness to wash the rugs as lotion was spilled. I haven't had any issues with guests and my community over the past 2 years (per my reviews). My community "Central City" covers a large area and some areas has challenges, however, guests forget New Orleans hasn't completely recovered and the unfortunate disproportionate allocation of resources. (that doesn't equal bad people, simply bad living situations/conditions for residents) l sincerely apologize for the slow progress and inconvenience of the neighborhood and the inability to offer the amenities that guests may be accustomed to having in their respective communities. In no way am misleading in my description of my neighborhood. I have great neighbors and unfortunate it's a missed opportunity to see the people and community from a empathic/resilient view versus a inconvenience or nuisance. There was also a beautiful arrangement of flowers that was left and when we tried to give them to you as you were departing, you informed my brother they were meant for the house. Please explain, if your stay was such an inconvenience, why leave flowers? I once again apologize for any inconvenience you/your guests experienced as you mentioned in your booking the ladies were "a little prissy". I enjoyed meeting you and the group of ladies during check in. I hope you enjoy your stay in your future airbnb bookings.

Beautiful house with New Orleans charm. Le'Kedra is a fantastic host and extremely flexible with any and all needs. Would stay there again in a heart beat. 6/7$ Uber rides into the quarter during peak times.

Le'Kedra's home is very well furnished, comfortably fit 5 (with one person on a pull-out couch and two people sharing a large bed) and is very conveniently located. Le'Kedra is also a very good host, leaving the home stocked with everything from toiletries to food. The only downside was the safety of the neighborhood, on which multiple Uber and Lyft drivers commented. We ultimately had no issues and were able to get Ubers/Lyfts without a problem, but did not feel comfortable walking far from the front of the house without a ride. It is a good value though for its proximity to the French Quarter and other New Orleans destinations.
