If you're like me and when you're away from home for just a few nights and don't have much luggage, and your priorities are to stay in a house which is friendly and quirky, with a comfortable bed and a good shower, feeling safe and secure, and is in a quiet area yet really close to transport and are happy with steep stairs and a little room, then Mrs Moore's is the place to stay! Highly recommended

This is a very tiny traditional house, but I have lived in Hampstead before so I know what to expect and love its quirkiness. I haven't slept in a single bed for a while so that took some getting used too. The location is fabulous if need to be close to Hampstead which I did. Its in quiet neighbourhood. There is a small private courtyard if you are a smoker. The house is busy with things but its not messy - everything has its place and its super clean. Mrs Moore is very approachable if you need anything.

Mrs Moore was very warm, affable and welcoming. She graciously reimbursed me with cash when I left 2 days early - I struggled with the cramped conditions and the clutter in the communal area, and the temperamental hot shower. I also wasn't comfortable on the single mattress which was larger than the bed base and not quite enough for my length 1m 75cm. (5ft 7"). I kept kinda sliding off in the night. I did mention to the host that the room is a very small single room and not a small double as billed unless you're 20 something travellers paying peanuts. It was also very drafty so I had to keep the heater on most of the night which can be dodgy. Without any kitchen table or chairs to sit on to eat my food, (the kitchen is caravan size) only a low level sofa with small cluttered coffee table, I would say the price was very high considering such basics are on offer at the same price nearby with more of a bedroom. No breakfasts. Teas coffees. Hampstead is a good place to be based, transport wise and is close to the Heath and decent cafes but otherwise has virtually nothing else to offer. No night life, average restaurants, no useful shops apart from some high st standard clothes shops, and expensive cinemas. I grew up here and have seen it turn from quaint village with good family businesses into the tepid stream of vain fripperies you see now.

The room was perfect for my 5-day trip: great location (close to park, restaurants, transportation/tube etc.), quiet and comfortable room for sleeping, appropriate amenities. Had to leave early mornings, back late in the evenings, so really only there for sleeping and getting ready for the day. Mrs. Moore was very considerate, always very helpful and flexible when needed (I was able to leave luggage on last day till evening, she bough water for me on first day etc. ...). She is a very funny lady, and the place definitely reflects her personality, in the best possible ways. Would stay again, but only when by myself. The room is very small, and not a "hangout" place. A+

Dear, Felicia,re ur feedback .agreed the room was not terribly big ..I cannot de-clutter antiques in favour of IKEA .the internet has been connected unfortunately on the day you left. I will take on board your criticisms through your advice .I have asked my friends ( thought you were talking about a different place) and they mostly did not agree with your criticisms and they perceived that you had been staying in another house. My previous occupant was 6 foot tall and he had no problems with the bed ,I do apologise for your shortcoming. My home is not a hang out place for smokers,it had been advertised as a non smoking house before you made your choice. There are candles and plants in the bathroom, which most guests find therapeutic.I apologise for the cleaning agents left in the bathroom were so upsetting to you but I want to see the bathroom kept as it was before use by my guests. Unfortunately I do not recall the discussion of de -cluttering with you, possibly you have mistaken me for your best friend who lives locally.maybe you have had this conversation with her. Your comments are duly noted and I hope your future experiences when staying in London are more to your liking.

Great location in lovely Hampstead. This was my first time with AirBnb, but Mrs Moore was very welcoming. As a girl traveling alone I would have wanted to know that there was another guest / tenant (male) staying in the house as well, but it was not an issue. The room is small, but nice and has closet space and window towards a quiet square. The bed is comfortable albeit a bit short (im not very tall). Having lived in the area before I know mice is a common issue, and indeed I had a visit from one during my stay. I did not spend much time in the house so did not get to know Mrs Moore, but the house is lovely and full of character.

Sorry to hear that I wished I had known. I think I would have jumped out of my skin. I think because I live near the Heath and its an old house, I guest its bound to happen. Thanks for letting me know I got the pest control coming Thursday. Welcome to stay any time.

Hi, I'm Mrs Moore and live in a picturesque surroundings in a beautiful square within 2mins walking distance to Hampstead Heath. There is local shops and restaurants moments away from Hampstead underground tube station. If your into arts, history and walks- this is the location to be. Within walking distance you have Fanton house, Kenwood House, Pentameters Theatre, Keats House, Burgh house and local pubs- Holly Bush, The Flask, The Wells and The Horse Shoe. I enjoy traveling, reading and walking. I enjoy cooking sometimes, but, I also like eating out. This is a non smoking house with a small double bedroom. Please NOTE the minimum stay is 3 nights. This a quiet residency would prefere guest to arrive no later than 6 0 clock. (Pm)
