Imagine returning to a quiet, peaceful space at the end of a workday or a full day of sightseeing. No blaring tv, and a place to meditate if you choose. Sound good? Then this comfortable single bedroom is ready and waiting for you. My place is a favorite with Northwestern grad students and international travelers. The bus is a block away - 17 minutes to campus, and if you have a car, there is plenty of street parking.
Beautiful, cozy, townhome. I am an international traveler who has stayed in B&B accommodations around Europe and the UK. The guest room is comfortable and has a new mattress. Very quiet safe neighborhood and room had a closet, dresser and desk with comfy chair. A great option for family overflow during celebrations, comfort for visiting professors and students. My place comfortably fits one person at this time.
There is filtered water and Keurig coffee available to guests 24 hours a day in the living room. You have in room refrigerator, microwave and hot water carafe for your private use.
Need a place near Ryan Field for football games? My place is a short 7 minute bus ride to the stadium.
Convenient to Northwestern University, public transport, Evanston parks and beaches, close to Old Orchard shopping center. We are right next to Wilmette, within walking distance in fact. Lots of street parking!
I work from home doing my Reiki/Biodynamic Craniosacral business. Feel free to request a session for yourself, it is very relaxing and de-stressing.

Desk, WiFi, dresser, closet. Shared full bathroom, with half bath on main floor. Small back deck with table and chairs. I work from home two-three days a week, and ask that guests maintain quiet or be out of the townhome when Reiki clients are present, usually a couple of hours between 10am and 8pm. I will give you plenty of advance notice about my work hours on those days.

I may or may not be around much depending on my work schedule. On the other hand, I can be reached by phone in case you need anything - including sightseeing and restaurant tips.
I don't have pets, and cannot host them due to clients with pet allergies. At this time there is room for one guest only.
If you have any special requests, I will do my best to help you out.
I will give guests wifi access upon arrival.
I will connect with you regarding key access prior to your arrival, as I have a packed work schedule. I try to be as flexible with your check-in as possible, and hope you will be flexible as well.
I request that guests do not use perfumes, colognes or aftershave in the house as they usually have ingredients that I am allergic to. Essential oils are fine.
I expect guests to respect my privacy as I respect theirs. Your bedroom is next to mine on the second floor where the shared bathroom is located. Because the bedrooms share a wall, I would appreciate no in-room phone calls before 8am or after 9pm. Because I am a light sleeper, and work most days, the house needs to be quiet after 10pm.
I'm a straight shooter and hope that my guests will let me know if there are needs that I am unaware of.
The townhouse was built in the 1950's and has not been updated, making it comfortable and quaint and sometimes quirky.
Quiet is very important to me, I do not have a television, however, will give you access to Netflix if desired.
There is no smoking allowed in or around the house. If you are a smoker, this may not be the place for you.
I request that guests do not bring friends or relatives back to the house without my prior approval.
When entering the house you will be required to remove your shoes.
I am a life long midwesterner. I grew up on Chicago's north shore in Wilmette and now live in Evanston. I moved into this townhouse in December of 2014 and love it! I hope you will too.
My next travel destination is Ireland. I have always had a wish to see the rolling green hills and can't get enough of that Irish brogue. :)
Love going to movies, anything not involving lots of violence is fine with me. Must have coffee in the morning and a nice walk in the sunshine.
I look forward to meeting you and showing you my little corner of the world or, leave you to discover on your own.
