Rolf and Patti operates this horse ranch in Val Verde since 1989.
Val Verde (Green Valley) is an oasis just outside of Santa Clarita. Today there are 14 horses on the ranch that we handle daily. If you like horses you can voluntary help us with the feeding.

As our guest, you get to move around freely on the entire ranch. Outside the guest house there is a patio in the shade with chairs and table and a gas barbecue. The patio is inclosed, with a gate.

I spend most of my time on the ranch, so don't hesitate to ask any questions about the house, the ranch, have lived here since 1985. I am also familiar with the Los Angeles area.

Just a 10 minute walk down the main street in Val Verde you will come to Val Verde Community Regional Park.
In 1937, Mr. Harry M. Waterman donated 50 acres to the County for the creation of a park. Now, Val Verde Park is a 58-acre community regional facility in a verdant rural setting, nestled among mature oak trees. During the 1950’s, affluent African-Americans found respite from the city by traveling to this area for recreational activities. The park quickly became a community gathering place and was home to the annual Coronation Ball and the Green Valley Festival Parade. Today, the park serves as a cultural and recreational focal point for the Val Verde community. Their is 2 great hiking trails starting at the park.

Bus service between Castaic/Val Verde to the McBean Regional Transit Center with stops through the Valencia Commerce Center and Valencia Industrial Center.

We have two guest houses on the ranch. Red Rock Ranch #1 and #2. Both can be found on Airbnb.

As our guest, you get to move around freely on the entire ranch. Outside the guest house there is a patio in the shade with, chairs and tables and a barbecue which can be used.

The place was nice and quiet. Rolf was a nice host and gave us our space and didn't intrude on us.

Rolf was a great host. We took advantage of the riding lessons, and enjoyed all the farm animals. It was nice to be out of the city, but still close enough to go to Universal Studios.

Rolfe is sweet, his ranch is quiet and beautiful, set in the hills. The views are amazing and it's the perfect quiet country getaway. I went with my husband & 1 year old, there's a playground for little ones. Accurate listing, we will be back!

This was our second time at Red Rock, and once again we had a wonderful stay. For those with young children, there have been some great new additions, such as the expanded play area and small petting zoo. This is a safe, relaxing environment for families where you can let your little ones wander, play, and let their imaginations run wild!

The ranch is close to Los Angeles, but you feel you are in a different world. The scenery is beautiful. There are a lot of animals. My kids 5 and 11 loved it there. The only issue was the weather. When we were there it was raining most of the time causing the ground to be wet and muddy. The house itself is small but comfortable. It has good amenities including cable TV. Rolf is a great host who is friendly with kids and has excellent communication.

We had a lovely stay at the ranch. The cabin was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Rolfe gave us good directions and greeted us on arrival, he was friendly and welcoming but respected our privacy for the whole stay.

I was born in Sweden and moved to Los Angeles when I was 23.
Worked as a cook in Sweden and in the merchant marine, and have cooked for myself and others most everyday in my life. I have had my own refrigeration company, built 4 homes in the area I live. I bought the ranch in 1989, started to breed and train race horses ( Thourobreds ), is a Ca license trainer. Today I take care of the ranch and 15 horses. I love the outdoor life and animals.
Also has an interest in classical music. Sings Swedish folk music and plays a bit of guitar when my mood takes me, I am a late bloomer in the poetry world when the subjects come to me. As you can see my life has been rich and still is.
