We have a son that is a freshman at UVM and we travel 8 hours to see him. We loved the peaceful tranquil cottage. Our son loved being able to decompress there for the weekend. So quiet and quant. Very clean and kept well.

This cottage on Cedar Lake is just as described. It is quiet, rustic and charming, and had all of the comforts of home. We had plenty of space both inside and out for two adults and two dogs. This place would be perfect for a family with several young children. An upgraded and larger version of the old tourist cabins at the lakes in Canada. We found the cottage to be very clean and tidy. Fresh air filled the place, and the numerous windows kept it that way. The bedding and towels were wonderfully laundered, and without artificial fragrance (I'm allergic). Extra sheets, blankets and towels were set out. The kitchen and bathroom were very neat and clean. Toiletries and kitchen staples were in abundance. Helpful notes and instructions for everything were handy. For example, it was cold two nights, so we decided to fire up the propane stove. All of the directions were right there, making it a simple task. We used the kayak, but there are also a row boat, a canoe and a paddle boat to try. The large willow provides shade for the two sturdy picnic tables, and has a rope ladder for climbing and a swing. The tiny beach access is enchanting, especially after the blue gill fish decide that your toast bits are delicious. Outdoors we found peace and quiet. We kept going out to the screened back porch to eat, to sit, to just stand and look. What an amazing view! I could see doing an autumn trip just to watch the trees on the hill across the lake turn colors. We brought a telescope with us, figuring that the night sky would be amazing. Score! The moon was partial with gorgeous craters and Saturn showed off its rings. Without a moon at night I would believe that the Milky Way would be very visible. Neighbors in nearby camps were friendly but not bothersome or nosey. The man next door, and his dog Charlie, are both wonderful to get to know. Overall, we had a perfect week in Vermont, thanks to this little getaway rental! We felt comfortable and at home, completely. We hope that Nick will have us back next year, maybe in time for better bird-watching!

The cottage is on a small beautiful lake. My three children loved to go in the water and use the petal boat and kayaks available. The views are beautiful and there was plenty of beds for us to sleep. It had a full kitchen that we used to make dinner after a long day of hiking and stocked kitchen was clean. It was a great long weekend!

Great camp on Cedar Pond. Very dog friendly- Our dog loved the water and they had a little fence up around the yard (to keep the Canadian Geese out) that worked great to keep our dog from running off! Close to yummy food and beer but far enough away from everything that you can just relax!

This is a very relaxing place, nice to kayak and canoe around the lake and close enough to Burlington/South Burlington for great meals and activities. The outdoor porch was greatly appreciated as you can spend the night outdoors without the aggravation of flying nighttime insects (no bugs during the day : ). Close to a grocery store for necessities to bring back to grill or eat. Cable TV is limited but when you want to get away from it all, not really necessary. Internet worked GREAT! Golf close by and a beautiful course with a very friendly staff. Enjoyed the birds and site and Nick was very responsive with any questions I had. Felt very comfortable for our family.

We had a fun and relaxing stay at the cabin. Our kids loved the paddle boat and kayaks. The location is both scenic and convenient to Burlington. There was an issue with the plumbing and Nick has very accomodating. We enjoyed our stay and will return if in the area again next year.

This Lake house was perfect. With location easily drivable to both Stowe and Burlington, we could not have asked for a better place for our first trip to Vermont. Nick was communicative, available as needed, and made sure we had a great trip. The landscape around the house is beautiful, access to the lake was great, and playing cards on the porch was awesome!

I have 3 kids under the age of 6 and am a mid-level manager for a local financial services company. I live 35 minutes away from this property where I like to spend some quality time with my family. We typically make it out on weekends to this camp in summer and occasionally in winter to ice fish and ice skate. If you have questions please feel free to reach out to me.
